Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli has confirmed that the PC version of Crysis 2 is graphically superior to both PS3 and Xbox 360 editions.
Yerli make the confession after CVG asked him why Crytek decided to show the Xbox 360 version of the game at its recent New York showcase.
"PC is the best looking version, yeah," he answers. "But if I had shown it on PC, it would have been like... okay, Crysis 2 is on console, but they're not showing the console version. So we wanted to go with console."
Crytek showed us the 360 version of the game - which we crowned the best-looking title ever to hit the system.
At the same event, we saw a just a glimpse of the PS3 version running alongside it - and the few minutes we witnessed looked identical to the 360 version.
However, Yerli himself would later admit that the PS3 version looks "slightly" better than the 360 version.
The studio has previously revealed that it overcame problems squeezing the game's massive CryEngine 3 onto console.
Stop yappering on and just release the game.
Dirty console gamers never saw it coming.
PC version looks better... should your pc be able to run it at the proper settings. :downs:
Of course they are going to make the PC version best looking version because I don't think they want a million graphic whores rushing their studio.
Well no shit it'd be.
I am not surprised.
I should hope so.
Well, it makes sense. A console is 300$ where a highend computer is 1600$, even a bit less. They're much more efficient than shitty 3 year old hardware, but those are just my thoughts.
I should expect so.
Glorious PC Gaming Master Race.

you could probably get a pc the same specs as the xbox for the same price you know
For the last time, PC players weren't worried about graphics, but the potential dumbed down gameplay.

I can make a computer right now for $800 that will max anything on the market. Just try me.
My friends sister works as a Q&A tester for Crytek, she flew back from germany this week but the only thing she would say about Crysis 2 is that she's finished it :( (Some contract that would get her fired and legal action against her)
