1. Im getting no sound for my speakers at all. 2. BIOS detects my RAM at 1066MHz while it is supposed to be at 1600MHz, so i changed it manually, but Speccy detects my RAM at 800MHz. 3. For some reason, when i installed the optional cooling fan over my RAM, windows takes alot longer to boot and is alot slower, im going to remove it tomorrow because it makes an obnoxious noise, and i have more than adequate cooling. As a basic explanation you multiply that 800Mhz by two. Unless you're overclocking and putting more voltage to the ram you shouldn't need the cooler for them it also won't effect the boot times in the slightest. It's probably just your imagination.
Thats what i thought about the boot time, but it's strage how windows is now just much slower. I figured out about my sound problem that its only the front left and front right speakers that are not being detected, front center, rear right, rear left and Sub all are working. By the way, im using triple channel RAM. [editline]17th June 2011[/editline] Nevermind, i fixed my sound, now i only have the slowish RAM problem.
Did you set the timings manually after raising the speed? Usually BIOS make timings go trough the roof when you raise ram speed from the set default which in your case is 1066Mhz due to Bloomfield processor memory controller being only 1066Mhz without overclocking.
