No H/W SLI with 8500GT

I wish to have four monitors on my computer and I already own a 8800GT which is SLI-enabled. I also have another card, an 8500GT but the SLI connector has a gold sticker which says:
No H/W SLI with 8500GT

The connector looks like any other connector with pins etc and I only want to have four monitors; if I put this in my computer and bridge it with my 8800, will it be able to give me the ability to hook up four monitors?

SLI reduces the amount of screens you can have to just one card's DVI ports. The 8500GT sticker saying "No HW SLI" means the card can't do SLI, and the ribbon you connected the two cards with isn't doing anything.

And SLI wouldn't work regardless since you can't SLI an 8500 with an 8800.
