Texas school curriculum teaches children to be commie sympathisers
According to the Associated Press, witnesses told the Texas Senate Education Committee last week that the program promotes liberal values they described as "anti-Christian at best and openly socialist at worst."

An article at Texas CSCOPE Review was even harsher in its criticism, accusing Obama of "teaching our children how wonderful socialism is and that communism is even better."

The AP added that Lebay was asked about complaints that some lesson plans promote pro-Islamic ideals, or "described participants of the Boston Tea Party as terrorists."

"You know America is changing when leftists have even infiltrated Texas schools," Kyle Olson wrote at EAG News.
Ouch, right into my strong, Christian values.
If these people understood what socialism was I might be ok with them trashing it, but it's little more a Tea Party buzzword.
Also can we stop acting like "christian" values have any place in a school.
Stop teaching children what to think and more how to think.
socialism is pretty wonderful

Haha god invented school my dude!!!
Could they maybe cite EXACTLY what parts they are bitching about?
Oh my god those people are beyond intellectual-redemption.
But surely, by definition, the Boston Tea Party was a terrorist act? It was a violent movement against a country aimed to provoke terror and get what they wanted.
And what parts of the curriculum, exactly, teach any of the 'pro-Islam' and 'socialist' stuff? It's probably just the fact they teach evolution or teach people about Islam or something, we need to see what they're talking about to get a good idea.
Texas should be walled off from the rest of the world with a 10 kilometer thick wall that goes higher than the atmosphere, also a special material to make them not able to attach things to it. See what happens.
Oh, OK, it's designing a flag. For little kids.
Really?

They're mad that kids were told to design a socialist flag for an assignment and apparently some other things too.
Why has socialism faced such stagnation in the US? A lot of people seem to use the word blindly without thought of what kinds of socialism there are. They're trying to fight communism when the battle was already won a long time ago.

Hell by today's definition you could say the American Revolution was a terrorist act.
"Notice socialist/communist nations use symbolism on their flags representing various aspects of their economic system. Imagine a new socialist nation is creating a flag and you have been put in charge of creating a flag," says a lesson plan being used as part of CSCOPE, the curriculum being used by over 70 percent of Texas school districts.
"Use symbolism to represent aspects of socialism/communism on your flag. What kind of symbolism/colors would you use?" the lesson plan asks.
this is the part
flags will ruin our nation
Stop teaching children what to think and more how to think.
What if we teach children to think using the scientific method?
Love thy neighbor
I don't see anything wrong with this to be honest. (teaching what socialism is about and getting kids involved with politics early so they can make informed decisions later in life).

Okay, I can....kiiiiinda see why they might be a bit buttflustered. It's kind of a pointless exercise to begin with, and I'm not entirely sure what it's going for.
The comments are spectaular
I would not allow my children or grandchildren to be indoctrinated. This is exactly what Hitler did....give these progressives the opportunity to brain-wash our children and America will be no more. We really need to wake up and take our country back before its too late!

Well what would you expect from a Communist Muslim masqurading as a President of a formerly free nation? Obama is a registered American Communist as well as a Muslim. Just take a look at the list of American Communists Party members and you will be surprised how many Members of Congress and the Senate are on there along with usurper Obama, are you starting to wake up America?
Don't give me none of that scientific evo-looti-anary bullshit

I will not allow my children to be indoctrinated either. My children must only be taught strong christian values and conservative work ethics in school. None of this commie socialist evolution crap.
Lol I live how they include Muslim indoctrination accusations
Reminds me of that 'news story' a year ago about some school that was supposodly indoctrinating its students:

They're really just throwing words they don't like at it and hoping something sticks.

Terrorism is violence directed at the people of a country with the intent of damaging public morale and support for their leaders. Dumping tea in an ocean isn't terrorism. Rebellion isn't terrorism either.

THE SYMBOLS I'D USE WOULD BE A CRYING JESUS
Albeit the hilarious comments from an obviously biased source, what's wrong with a classroom activity like that? The teacher was simply creating a fun way for students to understand the concept of socialism.
How the type of people who appose to this would react in A-Level history would scare me.

I wouldn't even call it a "fun" thing, it's literally just asking "what are the symbols of communism and socialism you may see on a flag".
