TAMPA - The author of a pedophilia guide e-book that was for sale on Amazon.com has been arrested in Colorado on a warrant from the Polk County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office. A felony warrant for Phillip Greaves' arrest was issued based on Greaves' sale and mailing of his book to a Polk sheriff's detective, authorities say. The book, "The Pedophile's Guide to Love and Pleasure: A Child-lover's Code of Conduct," defends, advocates, and trains adults in illegal sexual acts with children. The book was pulled from Amazon.com in November after complaints. Detectives traveled to Pueblo, Colo., and worked with police to arrest Greaves, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said Monday. Greaves has been charged with distribution of obscene material depicting minors engaged in conduct that is harmful to them. Greaves was taken to the Pueblo County Jail and Polk County authorities are working to have him extradited to Florida. Undercover detectives contacted Greaves and asked to purchase his book. It was mostly sold as an e-book on Amazon, but there are a few hard copies of it, one of which was sent at the detectives' request. Judd said the copy detectives received was signed by Greaves. Detectives reviewed the book and submitted it to a county judge, who found probable cause that Greaves had distributed the obscene material depicting minors engaged in harmful activities. The judge set Greaves' bond at $15,000 pending a court appearance in Florida. Sherif Judd said Greaves was cooperative during the arrest. He added that the walls of Greaves' bedroom in his Pueblo home were covered in pornography. Originally reported by MyFoxTampaBay.com
Wow what a fucking sick idiot!
where do i get this book
Ask your uncle.
What did he think was gonna happen? Become a best-selling author and get featured on news programs and talk shows?
Well, he was right about the news.

Uncle Pete?
finally, no book should be destroyed, but some never should be published.
Hm, I'm not sure why he was arrested. People should be able to write and publish anything that they want to.
Freedom of speech? Pfft. Wikileaks and now this.
Then it's found to be satire.

are you actually defending a guy who wrote a book on how to fuck kids?
are you actually defending a guy who wrote a book on how to fuck kids?
I do not agree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it.
this isn't a freedom of speech issue
that isn't the crime taking place. Its fucking disgusting and despicable simultaneously, but the guide it'self is legal.
The images depicting children getting violated/whatever are the crime here.

that's good, but you missed the part where
" Greaves has been charged with distribution of obscene material depicting minors engaged in conduct that is harmful to them."
it's child porn
Freedom of speech? Pfft. Wikileaks and now this.
It's not freedom of speech if the words can be used to bring harm to someone.
It's not freedom of speech if the words can be used to bring harm to someone.
Who gets harmed by watching nude pics of children.
I do not agree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it.
It's not like his voicing an opinion.
finally, no book should be destroyed, but some never should be published.
Not true, that breeds just as much ignorance.
I do not agree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it.
He has his right to write that book, and that book shouldn't be destroyed, but books like that shouldn't be published and distributed.
Not true, that breeds just as much ignorance.
so not distributing a book that teaches grown men how to rape children, causes ignorance?
It's not freedom of speech if the words can be used to bring harm to someone.
Words are words, i can explain how to kill a man and get away with it, but as long as I do not actually KILL someone it should be legal.

It's not child porn because there ARE NO PICTURES.
He wrote words. I remember in the synopsis of the book that it was how to keep pedophilic urges in check. How the hell does this put children in danger?

Anybody have a link to that book with the kid who got molested?
i just saw this on the news like 2 minutes ago
He has his right to write that book, and that book shouldn't be destroyed, but books like that shouldn't be published and distributed.
again, that is just as bad as destroying it because you are effectively censoring the book entirely
wat da fak
I do not agree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it.
This is about as much a case of freedom of speech as publishing peoples credit card numbers on the internet is.
are you actually defending a guy who wrote a book on how to fuck kids?
Absolutely. Because unlike actually fucking kids, writing about it is protected under freedom of speech.
This is about as much a case of freedom of speech as publishing peoples credit card numbers on the internet is.
One of those harms people, one of them doesn't. That's the difference.
This is about as much a case of freedom of speech as publishing peoples credit card numbers on the internet is.
Credit card is confidential information. A guide on how to behave around children isn't. How is that even a comparison?
I hope that judges aren't blinded by "PEDOPHILE YOU'RE LOCKED UP FOREVER NOW" and see that this book has NO clear and present danger, so it is still protected by freedom of speech.
I do not agree with what he says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it.
This. This so much.
Maybe it makes me a bad person but I'm kind of a fan of those constitutional rights
