Never watched it before, but now his show trumps every major night show in the US
I think it's because the format and the host work so well to make the guests seem like the normal people they (usually) are. Plus the audience feels really involved. Robert De Niro and Harrison Ford have both been on more than once despite really not liking doing chatshows.
