Hello Facepunch!
I just wanted to ask you guys if my laptop temperature's are fine at all!
I won't make a long paragraph about it so I'll keep it simple
My Processor is a AMD Phenom II P650 Dual Core (2.6 GHZ)
The GFX Card is an ATi 4250
Now while gaming sometimes it reaches temperatures as high as 70c
While idle doing nothing at all it is at 34c
It temperatures vary from game to game but when I play Source Games (Garry's Mod , Day of Defeat , Left 4 Dead Two etc.)
The highest they get is 68c or 70c
And when they reach the high temps of 68-70c I do not experience any drop in FPS and I don't see much a performance difference.
But I just wanted to check with everyone first just to be safe!
I'm pretty sure those temps are just fine, computer hardware can get pretty hot without directly damaging them. My old graphics card (ATI HD 5770) went up to around 95C while playing BF3 although I wouldn't recommend running hardware at those temps extensively.
Seeing how it's a laptop with limited cooling abilities those temps probably won't be a problem. The idle temps are great.
Graphics cards tend to not be all too bad when hitting 70, however your cpu shouldnt pass 60. AS FOR 95...Christ man....

Completely normal.
My Q6600 hits 90+ because the heatsink isn't quite mounted right. I don't have any thermal paste to do it again though.

I thought they shut themselves off at 85?

Apparently not. Unless mine's reporting wrong/I have the TJMax set wrong in Coretemp.
I'll be the fourth person to say this, those temps are perfectly fine.
For laptops especially, this is pretty normal, don't worry
