So I have been playing a lot of graphics heavy games lately. I was playing Crysis 2 and noticed that if I run the game in fullscreen, the game play seems a little choppy to me. Just seems slow, but if I stick it in windowed mode. It runs so fast that it feels that I am playing a completely different game. Can someone tell me what I can do to help get the same framerate in fullscreen. The framerate is exactly the same though.
I have a Asus GTX560 Ti, overclocked with Asus GPU Tweak.
Also, if this is considered the wrong section for this, tell me and I shall ask an admin to lock the thread and post it somewhere else. Thanks in advance.
So the framerate is the same windowed and in fullscreen but fullscreen seems choppier? Try disabling vsync - or enabling vsync and making sure triple buffering or simply adaptive vsync is on (enable adaptive in the nvidia control panal).
VSync is off according to the Crysis 2 settings, let me check in my Nvidia control panel.

Turning V-Sync off sure had an improvement, but now I have micro stutter.
also is it the same resolution because you could be playing windowed at a much smaller res
My fullscreen resolution is 1920 x 1080, my windowed mode is set the same.
Are you sure the graphics are exactly the same in windowed mode? It's possible that anti-aliasing or something similar might be disabled in windowed mode. Also make sure that the Nvidia control panel isn't overriding anything (In the control panel, if a graphics option has the ability to be set to "automatic set by application" then make sure its on that)
Everything is set in application mode. The graphics are exactly the same in windowed mode, so very high in fullscreen and very high in windowed.
Hm are you on the latest drivers? If you are, you could try the beta drivers
Try disabling the OC. Some games don't like it.
I upgraded all my drivers, it didn't make any difference. Also, the OC?

If you mean overclock, disabling it just makes it run worse.
