Rockefeller Heirs and other rich people pledges to divert 50 billion to clean energies
The Global Divest-Invest coalition will announce new pledges and members one day before 120 heads of state address the United Nations on how their countries will contribute to a global effort to halt a dangerous rise in temperatures.
Since the divestment movement launched three years ago, some 650 individuals and 180 institutions, including 50 new foundations, which hold over $50 billion in total assets, pledged to divest from fossil fuels over five years using a variety of approaches.
One of the signatories is the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. Stephen Heintz, an air of Standard Oil tycoon John D. Rockefeller, said the move to divest away from fossil fuels would be in line with his wishes.
“We are quite convinced that if he were alive today, as an astute businessman looking out to the future, he would be moving out of fossil fuels and investing in clean, renewable energy,” Heintz said in a statement.
So what's the catch?
So what's the catch?
They'll get the majority of the profits.
$50 Billion dollars I hope is enough to start the change from reliance of fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources.
Oh great, now Global Warming is REALLY going to be considered a conspiracy by some idiots.

Aw who gives a fuck, they're retards anyway.
So what's the catch?
They become the Rockefellers of clean energy
They become the Rockefellers of clean energy
The issue is global energy management and distribution is still going to be controlled by the super rich. They will be able to limit it as much as they want depending on how much money they feel like making. Oh well. Kind of saw that coming anyway.
So what's the catch?
They are the first major player in the market, meaning they will secure most of the profits, ownership of franchises, and the like.
They'll get the majority of the profits.
Well let them have it. We get clean energy and get to keep nature more intact.
So what's the catch?
The clean energy source turns out being human slaves in big hamster wheels

fcking nwo
$50 Billion dollars I hope is enough to start the change from reliance of fossil fuels to cleaner energy sources.
eh like i have to explain to my brother constantly, fossil fuels will still be around for niche applications, but in the places where its producing the most harm it'll be phased out, but for like plastics and many many chemical processes petrolium based chemicals will be in use for a long time
They'll get the majority of the profits.
I don't care who gets the profits as long as it's not causing even more harm to the environment.

Did you honestly think that was going to change? How the fuck would that possibly change anyway?
"Yes Bank of America, I'd like to take out a 100 billion dollar loan for my new energy company to compete with the entire oil industry."

Doesn't matter. Economies crumble, civilizations fall, people suffer. It all sucks, but in the end, we only have one planet.

Unfortunately, there is a large portion of the US population, some of which hold seats of power, who still deny climate change.
It's like denying that the sky is blue. Climate change is a proven scientific theory with heaps of evidence (I experienced some personally with last year's miserable winter). It is not up for debate.
fcking nwo
The sad part is that you actually believe in the NWO.
I wish I was a Rockerfeller heir
The sad part is that you actually believe in the NWO.
what an assumption you've made
Holy shit all that white dragon society nonsense might be true
I wonder how it's in the other countries with a lot of clean energy potential. Cause a Rockefeller just became the director of a energy company here :tinfoil:
50 billion will get you anywhere from 2-10 nuclear reactors.
Putting that in any other source might further research developments but people will still be relying on fossil fuels when their renewables aren't working (solar at night ect.).
50 billion is a start but it won't solve anything yet.

Also its just their combined assets so they won't even be funding the same stuff so we won't be going anywhere fast
Well let them have it. We get clean energy and get to keep nature more intact.
And there's less persecution of cars. I can get behind that.
what an assumption you've made
Considering you link to sites with shit like this:

I'd say its a pretty accurate assumption.
So what's the catch?
Cops will be legally allowed to beat you in the streets in the name of clean energy.
The five big oil companies (Exxon, BP, Shell, ConocoPhillips, and Chevron) made $93 billion in PROFIT last year. This isn't even a bump in the road for them.

So now they finally have an excuse they can rally behind.

40bln for research is good enough if you ask me.People have come up with breakthroughs in science with much less than that...
