My cellar is full of spiders. I've come to know every one and allow them to live in peace. They love being photographed.
Here's young Jeffy, climbing for the top! What a go-getter. You're doing God's work, Jeffy! Keep on spidering it up.

I think the first one is quite cute and crab-like.
You have some gnarly spiders in your basement.
Nice pics.
I wish I had spiders that big in my house :frown:
Please have my spiders.
Make a spider orphanage.
I need a sense of scale here. That last one looks terrifying.
Dammit they look huge.
This thread makes the hairs on my leg tingle. In a bad way.

The last one is about bigger than a penny. The line dividing the first photo is the crack between the door and wall.
What country do you live in? Is it normal there to have spiders this large? Here I only ever see the little ball-shaped ones with the spindly huge legs inside buildings (UK)
JESUS CHRIST! im actually scared to scroll to the top of the page

Hint. You can zoom in with lenses removing all sense of scale making small things look huge.

All of these spiders are native to the UK. Ground spiders and cellar spiders are very common all over the world.
How do insects move their legs? Do they have muscles like humans or some kind of quantum joints?
Creepy stuff, I like it. Also let Jeffy know I appreciate the work he's doing and if Charlie Spindlelegs needs any financial support he should call me.
How precious. This is both highly disturbing and adorable, OP.

They retract their limbs with small tendons and extend them by forcing fluid through the canals that run all the way to the tips.
