• Activision to release 3 Call of Duty Titles in 2 years
Activision is going to be embroiled in quite the lengthy lawsuit with Infinity Ward, but that won't stop the flow of Call of Duty titles. Despite the fact that ex-IW leaders Vince Zampella and Jason West are suing for the rights to the lucrative franchise, Activision continues to ask developers to produce new installments in the super popular series. We know Treyarch is currently working on what is currently known as "Call of Duty 7" (it will supposedly take place in Vietnam), and there is another CoD project in development at San Francisco studio, Sledgehammer. The latter may even be an "innovative take" on the franchise; i.e, we may see the inclusion of a third-person perspective for the first time. But hey, it doesn't end there: according to TheGamersHub citing a Facebook quote from Activision's Dan Amrich, there will be a third Call of Duty, and it's not that far off. Wrote Amrich: "As for COD, they’ve confirmed three games in the next two years. Seeing as how there is a pattern of one new COD game every year, this is one new COD game from one new developer, and in a different genre from the core games we’ve seen." We know we don't have a lot of CoD fans around here but maybe we really will see some freshness and innovation. Even so, three games in two years may be the very definition of over-saturation, and Activision should recall what happened with the music/rhythm genre in 2009; it experienced a 50% decline after the explosion early in the generation. Besides, don't we get a little bored after a while?
http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/6955.html Oversaturation much?
Are they fucking retarded? what the hell are they gonna come up with next??
Oh hey, its Megaman
I'm going to see if Treyarch is going to be fucked up by Activision before I buy the bloody game.
They should slow the fuck down to take some time on actually making a good game, but hey it's Activision greedy fucks will try to make a buck off anything even when CoD's reputation as a somewhat decent game series is at stake.
More like Activision set to continue milking a dead cow with three more releases of what was once one of the greatest PC games of all time to the biggest 12 year old convention and camping fest since Halo 3.

I wish they would slow down and make a much longer game with the same length. I don't think anyone would protest that...:/
3 more??? god just end it already -.-
Call of Duty: Racing

At least we can play the old ones which were good.
Id they make it interesting. Make a Korean War one. Wait, never mind, don't. They'd just butcher it like they did all CoD's before. If I ever see a WWI CoD, I'm gonna rage.
three Call of Duty games in 2 years... :geno:
By 2015 Activision will make even the African colonial wars of the late 1800s into trivial "cool" generic shooting games with perks and ridiculous weaponry.
Are they fucking retarded? what the hell are they gonna come up with next??
Call of Duty: Future Warfare Duh...
Id they make it interesting. Make a Korean War one. Wait, never mind, don't. They'd just butcher it like they did all CoD's before. If I ever see a WWI CoD, I'm gonna rage.
Hell yeah automatic springfields with laser sights and acog!
Call of Duty: Future Warfare Duh...
I'm expecting an outer-space Call of Duty soon.
They should learn something from Valve instead. Take their time with the games.
Id they make it interesting. Make a Korean War one. Wait, never mind, don't. They'd just butcher it like they did all CoD's before. If I ever see a WWI CoD, I'm gonna rage.
That would be interesting to play if they didn't butcher it.
Call of Duty: Medieval Warfare.

They want to make money, so they appeal to their target audience, and what 12-year-old has juvenile hyper-masculine power fantasies of being in the Korean War?
Call of Duty: 2012
That would be interesting to play if they didn't butcher it.
They will butcher it. Human wave attacks every second while soldiers strafe to dodge Maxim fire and then they toss a bayonet at the gunner's face. Also, 25 kill streak and you get to detonate the giant mine buried under the map. Oh don't get me started how Activision would butcher the Middle Eastern theatre of WWI. Oh wait, to them, it doesn't exist at all.

You know, M, for Mature? The 12 year olds are a bonus.
I would buy them if they don't charge $60 for each one... but I bet they'll charge $70 just because they know people will still buy them.
Just stop at one every two years or something... let it rest.
Call of Duty: Medieval Warfare.
Fuck yeah I'd play. Do we get heartbeart sensors on our long swords?
Sigh. At least I get to live with the solace that the soulless hordes making Call of Duty now aren't the same ones that made the beautiful work of art that is the one and only original Call of Duty. Even Call of Duty 2 was good, even if its creation was dubious. I wondered how they were gonna make a WWII sequel when their prequel already ended with THE WAR ENDING, but they avoided that one nicely.
