An "exhausted" endurance swimmer who swam solo around the Isle of Wight has revealed one of her secrets to success was rice pudding.
Anna Wardley, from Gosport, Hampshire, completed the 60-mile (96.6km) route from Ryde Sands in a time of 26 hours, 33 minutes and 28 seconds.
She said the thought of a food stop every 30 minutes kept her going as well as messages from around the world.
The endurance swimming industry HATES this stay at home endurance swimmer who discovered this weird trick!
In all seriousness Rice is the bomb! I suggest everyone look into an inexpensive steamer and get some rice!
Though I couldn't imagine eating while swimming, I guess I never practiced because mom always said don't eat and swim?
I would have thought the fact she was moving away from Gosport as fast as possible would have spurred her on, at least until she realised she was swimming back towards to it :v:

Well she is an endurance swimmer not going for the speed
Gawd I swim about two miles a day at practice and when I get out I could eat a cow! Never mind 60 miles
Rice pudding is the best shit ever.
I'd eat it all day.
Turns out it was made of newspapers

This is great news, I LOVE rice pudding. It's like, my second most favourite food in the world. I'm going to go swim to New Zealand!

but that only occurs if the area has large natural amounts
