The high tide has caused damages on both roads and airports in Røst, Moskenes and Værøy. Roughly 2 500 people are isolated as a result of Berit. - It's no crisis, we're all-right. But we are out of milk in the stores. Other then that we're pretty much okay, Tor-Arne Anderassen, mayor of Røst country says. Some waves were up to 25 meters high, and the high tide was higher then previously recorded in Norway's history. There's a storm and all, but we're fine, we're just a little short on milk!
But I want to experience this as well :( Berit, come south!
Only Norwegian posters post here.
Meh. We aren't really interesting enough. When storms hit Norway, like nothing much happens. Infact we rather enjoy it, it's cosy if you ask me. That may be the viking instinct kicking in but still. A Storm is hitting Finland too, just not so severe as in Norway it seems.
Thanks a lot Scotland.

Scotland is getting hit too, 70-80mph gusts there!
Take it from a professional, guys. Don't walk home from the sports hall with a backpack when there's a storm. The wind could throw you off the fucking bridge and into the water, which is really god damn cold. Went well, only real damage is that I hit my hip on the railing and got really fucking wet. Even my iPod made it out alright!
It's not even that bad, at least not on the west-coast. Seen worse.

Bizarre experience in this thread, almost exclusively Norwegian, yet all speaking English. Hope you don't suffer too much Norway.

Yea I thought this might be related to the weather we've been getting in Scotland. Thankfully the mainland hasn't had the brunt of the storm, but its a good start to the winter at any rate. Now, bring on the blizzards.
it's funny because we've been unseasonably warm here in canada +15 degrees in the middle of november
