Thousands of people took to the streets of New York City Thursday, in part to show their support for the protesters in Ferguson. People gathered at Union Square, Bed-Stuy, Queens and Harlem for a social media-led National Moment of Silence in support of victims of police brutality. The crowd in Union Square chanted the Ferguson slogan "hands up, don't shoot." Protesters held signs showing the photos and names of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. Both men were killed by police officers in the last month.
http://mashable.com/2014/08/14/thousands-march-on-time-square-to-protest-ferguson-police/
SNIP I'm ignorant, refer to my later post.
Wouldn't it be funny if the NYPD, notorious for bad treatment of black people, handled a protest far better than the police force in Ferguson, MO? [editline]15th August 2014[/editline]
This shits getting ridiculous, all this over people getting mad over something that they had no reason to get mad over.
If you're not mad that the police shot a kid for no reason then I'd really have to wonder where your priorities are.
This shits getting ridiculous, all this over people getting mad over something that they had no reason to get mad over.
I don't think you understand.
This shits getting ridiculous, all this over people getting mad over something that they had no reason to get mad over.
Err, uh. I don't support the riots in the shape and form they are happening but there's definitely issues there to be mad over.
This shits getting ridiculous, all this over people getting mad over something that they had no reason to get mad over.
Please do explain.
Please do explain.
EDIT I finally got it through my brain, they're rallying over the cops reactions(gassing people and causing general havoc), which is absolutely understandable. I dunno why I was so oblivious to this when I posted earlier, but I understand now, and retract my statement.
