This does make me want to switch from my Nexus 4.

The only switch that i would make from my old nokia phone would be a modern nokia phone.
YOU CANT SWITCH FROM NOKIA THAT EASILY.
I'm happy with my LG G2.
Plus I don't want to change ecosystems again.
Orange one looks awesomeee

yep, i finally switched to android less than a year ago but my nokia xpressmusic lives on in my other pocket as my music player
I wan't the orange one or the green one.
Looks really nice, hope more people switch from android or ios to wp8.1.
Now that I'm fully invested in Android I don't think I could ever switch. Especially not to the steamy pile of awkward that is Windows Phone.
Looks almost identical to the Lumia Icon, which was originally codenamed the 929.

Why would you hope that, do you not want people to have more freedom?

Are you Richard Stallman?
But you have freedom in Wp as well. You can customize it more than ios for example.
It also depends on your eco system, gmail and calendar works on wp too, but stuff like outlook, office works better on wp.

Compatibility, lots of Android or iOS apps are not on other platforms. (I use iOS and it has a far share of exclusive apps which makes switching harder for me along with iCloud)
I wish they would make decent android phones. I really like the look of them, but I switched from Windows Phone to Android. There's no way I could go back. I just really like messing around with my phone and customizing it too much to go back to WP.
Windows Phone was really smooth and everything works well, but I'm sticking with Android.
All I want in a phone is for it to never ever get broken especially in a nuclear situation.
And the Nokia fulfills that.

I was tinkering with android for over 5 years and after that i was looking at new phones but i dont like the Apple eco, so i bought a windows phone. And It has been a much great experience, i also don't miss being able to sideload or customize that stuff.
But in windows phone 8.1 they are adding a ton of new features just like more customization.
It looks like a spiffier version of my 928 with more tile space - and it's WP8.1 native. I wonder if the screen is bigger than the 928.
Gotta hand it to Nokia, they're trying their best to make a phone look stylish in an age where all phones are basically screens with different back panels.
I really wish someone made a smartphone similar in style to the Motorola RAZR (I know there's one, but it just doesn't give off the same feeling of "shit man, that's sleek" the original clamshell did)
If Google ever runs Android into the ground and I have to switch my only choice will be Nokia. I was extremely skeptical at first when they announced their switch to WP, but their Lumia line is actually great.
I'd love a phone like this but I'm too in love with 'tough' phones. Albeit the fact that I wave w8.1 on my PC makes it all the better.
my GZone is great, I can clean the screen just be dunking it in water
I hope those aren't capacitive buttons, and are isntead part of the os.

Then buy a Nokia X that's their android device.

They're capacitive buttons.
lame
Wp8.1 allows for touch buttons too, Nokia has maybe kept the capacitive buttons if that leak is real.
There is also the Samsung ATIV SE
And maybe a new HTC windows phone.
Are Windows phones any good yet?

Speaking as someone who got a Lumia 920 in October last year, they are good. I'm digging the battery life, the apps I need are available and I really like the design, both hardware and software.
I wish they could keep their N9 design language, it looks much more appealing than this

I've always wondered what nokia is thinking when they place the capacitive buttons on some of these phones; look at that thing, looks like they are floating up towards the center of the screen.

All they need is more recognition only. They aren't bad by any means.

They've had a rough start, the majority of the Windows Phone 7 phones were shitty handsets on top of having a (comparatively) limited OS. But right now, they're definitely good phones, and WP 8.1 will ensure they're at least on par with Android and iOS in terms of expected features.
Hellooooooooooo next upgrade.
I was looking at Windows phones before my recent purchase of a Nexus 5. The interface looks great and Nokia really breathes quality but once you get used to a certain system you stick with it I guess. The Nexus 5 is the first Android device I've owned whose interface is hiccup free in every aspect by the way; it only takes a 2.26 Ghz quad core ARM to achieve it I guess :v:
