Earlier this year, as some of you know I went to i36 along with Hezzy, Cosmic Duck Lithifold and apwd007. It's coming to the time to start booking again for a truly awesome LAN Party. It's the biggest (by far) in the UK with around 1500 gamers shouting at each other.
This year the event will be held at a completely different location closer to the south of England, in Newbury, Berkshire (Near Reading and Basingstoke). The location (Newbury Racecourse) actually has its own Railway station on the Line from London Paddington, so you won't have to walk too far if you're going by train. It's also close to the town centre, so if you need cheaper food you can just pop out and enjoy the price difference.
Apart from being a little cold last time, the whole thing was great fun. There's even an indoor camping area this year, so if it is too cold, you can go inside. There are also hotels around the area.

If you book it within the next 23 days, you will get a discount (20%) meaning the £90 ticket cost goes down to £72.
If there's enough interest from Facepunchers I will be attending.
Here's the website: http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i39/
Here's a list of Facepunchers who are probably attending:

Lithifold

Spyk

BAZ

ijyt

leach139 and his mum

nerdygamer*

Flon22

Jonnerz3D

Rawrkat!90
(*= Lives a ridiculous distance away and probably won't actually come in the end)
If you think you will probably be attending, PM me and I will add you to the list. Once I have seen that you've bought a ticket, I'll add you to a currently non-existent 'Definitely Attending' list.
All information you will need can be found on the i36 website. http://iseries.multiplay.co.uk/i39/

I really wanted to go last time but I didn't book in time, hopefully if I can make some friends join me I'll be going.
Oh god, the smell...
Oh god, the smell...
It didn't smell that bad last time.
Where's all the pretty people at?
i36 was so fucking hot.
Holy hell this looks good
It didn't smell that bad last time.
Fappers. Lots.
Unfortunately it's at a different venue this year so hezzy and i will probably not be attending as it's too far to get to. I don't think anyone else from i36 apart form maybe lithifold and bengley of course will be there. It's a real shame. If they had it in stonleigh park again then we would probably go. This sucks.
I might be coming, I have a chance of joining because there are holidays in Denmark at that time, but:
How would I come from the airport to i39, and I can't bring my PC because it's massive and my laptop is a netbook.
But I don't really know, I am already going to Orlando for two weeks in February and Brussels for one week in March, and probably going somewhere hot when it's summer, I mean, that's a lot of travelling around y'know.

From Heathrow Airport, it would be pretty damn easy. One stop on the Heahtrow Express to London Paddington, then train from Paddington to Newbury and one stop from there to the racecourse.
I'd take the train
I hope I can get there next year.
Sadly I couldn't before because we had no money to get there. :v:
Must infiltrate this i39 and make it smelly.

Why, because it's like 2-5 hours away? Here in Amurica we drive sometimes a week or more to get where we want to be happy. I am disappointed in you.
*Eats 7 twinkies, and continues playing World of Warcraft in a cold dark basement surrounded by empty Mountain Dew cans.*
Newbury is a much better venue for me since i live really close
£72 is a fuck load of money for what can be achieved over the internet without the god awful smell and shitty atmosphere. Could get alot with that. Buy a new shirt or two and have some good nights out or if you want get 2 new latest release games!
Seems like a waste of money.

Why would anyone want to drive for a week?
I was 1 row away from the Facepunch lot at i37. I didn't actually know till afterwards. :(
I'm coming to i39 with my clan, it's going to be great! It's also much closer. :)
Why would anyone want to drive for a week?
People do it all the time here, usually when people are too poor or lazy to get a plane ticket they tend to just drive hundreds or even thousands of Miles to get where they want. And there's lots of diversity and things to see as you go from state through state.
I mean, if I had the money for gas n stuff, I would totally drive across the USA to see something like this, since almost 90% of the time game things like this are directly on the east or west coast. (I live right in the middle)
Will be attending this one!

They have shifted it to the newbury racecourse only for the less popular events (They have 3 a year) Stoneleigh will still be used but only for the bigger summer events!

Newbury is in a much better location in relation to local shops and transport links. Stoneleigh is in the middle of nowhere.
That website has sure been made by someone who's pro at internets.

We should hydroplane across the Atlantic Ocean in our pickup trucks! :science:
This shit has nothing on dreamhack.
This shit has nothing on dreamhack.
This shit is for people in the UK, like Dreamhack is for Swedes.

Sweden is closer to me but fuck that shit, UK's better.
Again, I'd go to this but it's just too far. :(
I'll probably go to the next one if it's back at the normal venue.

You live in England, you're closer to it than I am.

Still too far to drive down.
