Another 19 people were injured in the attack in Abs, in Hajjah province, believed to have been carried out by the Saudi-led coalition which is backing Yemen's government in its fight against Houthi rebels. ... The first rescue workers to arrive at the scene had to move cautiously, fearing that the circling planes might attack again. The blast immediately killed nine people, including an MSF staff member, MSF Yemen tweeted. ... The conflict in Yemen that began in 2015 has left more than 6,400 people dead, half of them civilians, and displaced 2.5 million others, according to the UN.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-37083035 Now for £10000, from which country did the bombs originate? A) UK B) USA more
This is the fourth attack against an MSF facility in less than 12 months
http://www.msf.org.uk/article/yemen-staff-and-patients-killed-after-airstrike-hits-abs-hospital edit: can mod remove apostrophe from title? Terrible. Aren't there designated zones around hospitals to prevent this?
Christ, is that a person wrapped around that steel frame? [editline]17th August 2016[/editline]
Terrible. Aren't there designated zones around hospitals to prevent this?
Yeah, hospitals are supposed to be clearly marked on their roof and both sides are supposed to inform the other the location of hospitals and other things.
Christ, is that a person wrapped around that steel frame?
Sure looks like it. I find it unbelievable in this day and age that its possible for this to happen. Always had a great amount of respect for the volunteers that make MSF what it is, my thoughts are with the families of the victims.
bit sensationalist, this is LED by saudi arabia (partially) but it includes bahrain, kuwait, egypt, qatar, basically all the middle east, and the US and UK are supplying all this, as well as france, canada and turkey. however, isnt this like the 3rd time this year/last year that someone bombed a hospital? you'd think logistics would learn this by now EDIT: wait didnt the coalition announce that they would stop airstrikes?
Who hasn't bombed an MSF hospital at this point? US bombed a hospital (can't remember if MSF or not), Russians/Syrian government has, Saudi/Saudi led coalition
