Further proof that Valve is still as awesome as they used to be.
P2? Really?

Question is, can PS3ers download mods, use console commands, etc. I'd love to host a game, have my PS3 pal join and experiment with cheats, or play on a custom map.

Maybe if you plug in a USB keyboard. But I doubt it.
Cross-platform is gonna be snazzy

Yeah if the host is on a PC they could do that. When I played Orange Box on PS3 and plugged in my keyboard it wouldnt let me open console to do anything.

Doesn't this mean that people could buy the PS3 version, get their free PC version and take back the PS3 version for another game?

What would be the point? besides you need a PS3 in the first place to get the PC version.

Well if you had a ps3 then you could take it back and get a different ps3 game.
But... but consoles are inferior. This will not bode well at all.

They maybe "inferior" as you put it. But a lot of people play consoles, they will still make money.
Now I can play with my PS3 Fanboy friends.
Wow, a reason to talk about Portal 2 to my PS3 friends :buddy:

I'll still buy the PC version because I'd feel so dirty buying a Valve game for a console and then using it to activate my PC copy. Not to mention the console version will be $60, and let's face it I'd never play on the PS3 anyway seeing as cross platform play is possible.
