U.S. President Donald Trump's administration has instructed the Environmental Protection Agency to remove the climate change page from its website, two agency employees told Reuters, the latest move by the newly minted leadership to erase ex-President Barack Obama's climate change initiatives. The employees were notified by EPA officials on Tuesday that the administration had instructed EPA's communications team to remove the website's climate change page, which contains links to scientific global warming research, as well as detailed data on emissions. The page could go down as early as Wednesday, the sources said. "If the website goes dark, years of work we have done on climate change will disappear," one of the EPA staffers told Reuters, who added some employees were scrambling to save some of the information housed on the website, or convince the Trump administration to preserve parts of it.
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-epa-climatechange-idUSKBN15906G :bullshit: Update: Sounds like the USDA has disavowed the order.
Not sure if people would consider the sources valid, but it seems the USDA has disavowed the gag order. His agenda is so blatant that you'd have to be a complete fool to not see it he just clearly wants to put everyone in the dark and try and snuff information He has no idea how bad this will Streisand
Back that shit up. Now.
Back that shit up. Now.
they were right.
Well yeah just erase public access to it and pretend it doesn't exist it'll pretty much solve itself hey let's lay more pipelines
Back that shit up. Now.
https://www.epa.gov/climatechange someone plz the more backups the better tbh
Holy FUCK, we're not talking about a delay in environmental efforts, or a temporary increase in carbon emissions during his presidency, we're talking about Donald Trump actively purging years of scientific data. He's suppressing our ability to even LEARN about the problem. He's digging out the actual evidence that proves him wrong, and destroying it. How the FUCK did we let someone like this into office?
Maybe they think if they get rid of all the information then climate change will not exist. God it seems like every passing hour he does something else to show how fucked we are.
this is going to backfire on him really, really fucking hard
The media needs to tear Trump a new asshole for this.
The media needs to tear Trump a new asshole for this.
someone call chuck todd
I'll upload a few mirrors of the complete files once httrack finishes downloading. If anyone wants to download the EPA site for themselves, download HTTrack and just paste https://www.epa.gov/climatechange into the url to download spot. You'll know what I mean probably. If you don't, just wait and I'll have mirrors up in a few. Any other websites need backed up while we're at it? Sorta like the first 3d printed gun and the anarchist's cook book, climate change research isn't going to die just because some government wants it gone. The internet doesn't forget stuff this easily.
The media needs to tear Trump a new asshole for this.
We need him to be figuratively torn apart for this. I'm wayyy past the point of disappointed and annoyed. Now I'm angry. And I'm sure there are a ton of Americans that feel the same way.
this is going to backfire on him really, really fucking hard
The fact they're doing it in one sweep with not even the pretense of democracy so very fucking suddenly makes me think so, but the more cynical part of me thinks people are just going to forget that any of this happened in a few months.
This is actually insane. He has gone mad with power. He thinks he's a god that can do whatever he wants.
Trump can't deny climate change when the east coast is flooded
are the news headlines for the next 4 years basically all just going to be "trump does something fucking stupid"
Trump can't deny climate change when the east coast is flooded
He can give an alternative fact that it's just a puddle.
Trump can't deny climate change when the east coast is flooded
You'd be amazed at the things Trump is capable of denying. Even things there are recordings and videos of him saying.
I see Trump intends on being more like Caligula than Reagan.
Suddenly I'm very glad that Trump has decided he wants to be at 'war' with the media. They're going to crucify him. It's going to be glorious.
And this is one of many reasons why Trump is unfit to be president. Seriously, only reason he's doing this is because $$$ for him self and his inner circle.
What has amazed me since the start of his campaign is that a lot of his east coast properties will be underwater in under fifty years at current projections. There'll be water in the foyer of Mar-A-Lago in thirty years, and not just a small leak here and there. An entire foot of ocean. He'll lose half the property. Not that he'll be around to see it, of course, and perhaps that's why he doesn't care. The man has maybe ten years left. I guess if he doesn't plan to stick around, it doesn't matter what happens.

"He won't be that bad. You guys are being melodramatic." Yeah okay. Holy shit, this is terrifying and bullshit at the same time.
If this continues I hope Trump will be tried for Crimes Against Humanity one day. Greenhouse Effect/Global Warming is already destroying our planet and this moron is trying to act as if it doesn't exist.

I give him six months in office, tops.
Regardless of how much you agree with climate change you'd have to be hard pressed to being an asshole to not only work against everyone who agree's with it, but also working to block them
Can't they just, say no? I mean really there's nobody that's gonna stand up to this? These fools have to have some limits to their ability to screw humanity over right?
Can't they just, say no? I mean really there's nobody that's gonna stand up to this? These fools have to have some limits to their ability to screw humanity over right?
Congress has the ability to create and dissolve legislative entities and administrative departments at will. All it takes is a vote. If the EPA declines, their funding could be progressively tightened (something congress can do right now), they could replace the chairmen (something that takes time), or they could call a vote and dissolve it entirely (the last resort). Considering the EPA is already underfunded, especially for an institution so vital to the health and safety of our country, I don't expect any resistance from them.
