I hope this is the right section. Anyway, I want to get a new pair of headphones. I have saved up some money to get a decent pair (or so I think, I don't have a lot of knowledge on the subject). So, I hoped some of you may be knowledgeable enough to advise me a fancy, non-overpriced pair of headphones. Here is what I'd like to get: -Big earphones, that cover the whole ear. Preferably those that drown away outside noise, but this is not a strict requirement. -Detachable wire. One that can be taken out of the headphone set and stored separately. I have a wire break before, and it sucks. This also means no wireless sets. -Comfortable, with plenty of padding, although I believe most have that. -Over-the-head gear. Not behind the head, like I've seen some have. -Last, I have a cheap pair of big earphones, but they sound really low-volume, even if I put my MP3-player on max. I'm not sure if this is my player's fault, or the headphones. In the latter case, the headphones should be able to get to decent volume levels. -My budget is €100 ($142). It can be stretched slightly, but not too much. -No Monster/Skullcandy headphones. I hope it's possible to get something decent with the budget I have, that meets all of the specifications. Thanks in advance!
you can get amazing headphones for that price the thing with headphones is that the bare minimum that fucking everyone has is terrible, and the few people that spend a lot of money generally get ripped off. i was looking at $100 headphones earlier and then bought a $30 pair of sennheiser earbuds and was blown away by the sound quality of them so if you're spending a lot and just want decent sound, you can go cheaper. but if you really want to spend that much on sound, you won't be dissappointed

Icemat Audio, said this over and over. Had a pair of the siberia headphones since 06 now they still work perfect. [editline]6th August 2011[/editline] they also fit all your requirements.

Maybe I can get a bit cheaper. It would save some extra money to use on random other things. Thanks for directing me there.
Icemat Audio, said this over and over. Had a pair of the siberia headphones since 06 now they still work perfect. Edited: they also fit all your requirements.
I'll do some googling on those. Thanks for the advice.
