Try both. Get the one you like the most.

I've never tried a strat, but I own a tele and it's wonderful :keke:
Try them both at a music store, pick the one you like.
Why a Fender? I mean, why pick the brand before you pick the model?

Well, make sure you try one before you spend £350+ on it. You don't want to end up buying a guitar you don't find comfortable to play.

yeah i've already played both guitars but i just find it so hard to chose which one
i love them both so much.
I prefer the Telecaster myself.
Up to you, can't go wrong if you love both of them.
Stratocaster, there are more things you can do with it .
Never liked the telecaster look, didn't feel well sitting down either.
The Strat feels better that any guitar I have ever played in my lap and It has features like 3 pickups and the tremolo that the telecaster lacks. The Hss Strats are good as well.
Telecasters are full of tone in my opinion, I always feel satisfied with my Telecaster in means of sounding full.
It has features like 3 pickups and the tremolo that the telecaster lacks.
Some people, like myself, don't like trems.
I'd probably go with a S/S/S stratocaster.
Strats are great guitars. You can really drive the shit out of a good strat and it'll still be clear sounding and articulate.
Teles are great too, but not in the same way as a strat. A nice powder blue or white strat is great; not a fan of black or red myself.
I'd also say I'd go with the stratocaster. They have awesome sound, plus they look a lot better.
I'd go with a strat, personally.
I own a Squier Strat, I like the sound and the shape, but I hate the tele shape, but I guess that's just taste.
I'd go with a strat if it's going to be a first guitar, because of how versatile they are.
Telecasters are cool too, though. Just get what you prefer the sound of.
Just try them, you'll find the one you like.
I like Telecasters because they have clear, bright tone. I like Strats also, mainly because they're a universal guitar.

This, plus they have really really good sustain.
Telecasters, in my opinion, are better for lighter music than a strat and vice versa.

This is an absolute lie. Listen to entombed...the lead guitarist used a telecaster for just about all their recordings...here's a little sample:
