People detest others for having [I]a belief[/I] they don't like that they turn the disagreement with the feeling towards others into a belief of their own. It's moronic. It beats the purpose. I can beautifully imagine these people ending up as violent in the name of their [I]not-religion[/I] as they blame some the religious people for being.
It ironically proves the point that religion fills a kind of hollow in the minds of many people, and while some disagree with filling it with the idea of god, they just go and fill it with the idea of not-god. They are a parody of their own sorry existence.

agnosticism is a lack of religion
atheism is a distinct belief system that the world is better off without the current institution of religion and the idea of a deit
the idea makes sense for atheism, an atheist church would just be a place to discuss moral philosophy independent of the idea of religion, which is an interesting concept
I know of people who call themselves atheists but simply use "the universe" where other people would use the word "God"
like "The Universe decided to give me a break today"
I feel like these people are basically theists but don't want to be railroaded into the beliefs that come with any religion.

Atheism - There is no god
churches and organizations are a great way for people to meet and socialise with each other dont see why thats such a problem

I really don't understand the point, it's basically like a community center that doesn't talk about god?
One of the good things you always here about religion is how it brings a community together through the church and giving people a place to organise charity events and that sort of shit. I don't really see a problem with this but calling it a church is stupid, it's basically just community centre.
