Ron Paul to Speak at Holocaust Denier's 'Gala Dinner Fundraiser'
In a heated September 5th interview with MSNBC's Alex Wagner, Former U.S. Congressman Ron Paul, who is currently surfing a wave of mainstream media appearances due to his strong criticism of the push from the Obama Administration for U.S. military intervention in Syria, defended his planned September 11th, 2013 keynote address at a "gala dinner fundraiser" to be held during a controversial [also see 1, 2] conference organized by a fringe, schismatic Catholic organization accused of virulent anti-Semitism, the Fatima Center.
According to a new report, Ron Paul's association with Fatima Center leaders, including Fatima Center head Father Nicholas Gruner -- who has espoused Holocaust denial, traces back at least as far as 1998.
During the September 5th interview, MSNBC's Wagner confronted Paul with the fact that the Fatima Center has been called a "hard-core anti-Semite group" and has in the past published writing suggesting that Jews should be stripped of certain civil rights -- a suggestion also once made by one of the speakers, Father Paul Leonard Kramer, who will join Ron Paul at the upcoming Fatima Center "Path To Peace" conference to be held September 8th to 13th in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Wow that's pretty fucked
That's about as low as attending a KKK meeting..
Didn't he have some dealings with Neo Nazi's back in the 90s?
That's about as low as attending a KKK meeting..
I'm pretty sure he has done that before. I know he has had dinners and such with leaders of white supremacy groups.
To be fair, this article is clearly pretty biased. The title alone makes it sound like he's attending a holocaust denier meeting, when in fact he's visiting a religious group that has holocaust deniers in it.
This meeting has nothing to do with the holocaust.
It looks like a lot of the supposed anti-semetism and holocaust revisionism is in the past. I don't really think it's right to continuously call someone an evil anti-semite for something they did in the past, people make mistakes and people change.

Dude, if it's a conference organized by the group, it's organized by the group.

realize Ron Paul has a history of doing political events with white supremacists or other higher bigotry groups
So long as he doesn't actually believe that himself I see no problem with this.
realize Ron Paul has a history of doing political events with white supremacists or other higher bigotry groups
Well they make up like half of his supporters. The other half is actual Libertarians.
Tolerance is great and all, but not good politician should go to an event like this and say "Oh I only go to the same events and enjoy my time with horrible shitstains willingly! I am not one myself!!!!!"
He should not go to such an event if he is not a holocaust denier.
The correct term is revisionist, "holocaust denier" sounds dumb as fuck too.

I don't think HOLOCAUST DENIERS deserve that kind of credit.
I disagree.
I disagree.
Whatever may fit technically it remains the same. Are they denying the holocaust, something we have more evidence of than just about anything in history? If they are, they are a holocaust denier. Simple as that.

it's as if nobody is able to read these days
OP is a misleading shitstain.

I think holocaust denier fits perfectly well, and describes them as they deserve to be described.

Working as intended.
But most of the photographical evidence has been concluded to be doctored and the most evidence we truly have is a couple of old folks making claims about events that occurred in their childhoods. When you sit down and look at some of the images it's amazing how blatantly fake some of them are. While I am not a revisionist myself, I believe they have some good points

Care to give us a credible source for that? I'm sure the historical community would be highly interested in this revelation.
Not only did that comment make practically no sense, it adds nothing to the discussion; try harder mingebox

Point out these doctored photographs. Are they next to the millions of doctored corpses?

The historical community already has information regarding all of this, it's hardly a revelation

who concluded the photo-graphical evidence to be doctored excuse moi
and uh the nazi's themselves kept records of their exterminations, when you compare census data pre and post war you'll find millions of people missing from the census data

which historical community
The historical community already has information regarding all of this, it's hardly a revelation
Well all respectable historians agree that the holocaust happened and that those pictures are real, so clearly that isn't the case.
;42161255']Point out these doctored photographs. Are they next to the millions of doctored corpses?
Mainly the Einsatzgruppen photos and the image of the Jew that wrote "night" leaning on a piece of wood, but there are quite a few others out there as well that are blatantly doctored

Were the corpses fake to? The millions of dead Jews?

You rate me funny, but you have nothing to back these claims up with.
It's not "blatent" if very few people agree with you.
