A minute of silence has been held in memory of those injured and killed in the 7 July bombings eight years ago. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-23218301 I didn't even realise it was today, it's not been mentioned anywhere. Britain seems to have a 'forget it happened and move on' attitude.
Had a girl on my facebook saying "shame on anyone who forgot". Yet whilst the victims should be remembered, I think it is a good thing to show we aren't letting anything like this dwell. The terrorists win when we constantly dwell on these things.
I think we forgot about a month afterwards. Even the day afterwards everyone was waiting at the bus stop as though nothing had happened, which amused me.

Just don't shape our life and laws around the fear of getting killed by something that's about a hundred times less likely than traffic accidents.

She's saying shame on those whom forgot those we have lost, I'm not British and even I care about that.
better than a ceremony held for 6 out of 7 victims I suppose
Of course I forgot, it was 8 bloody years ago
Also seven-seven doesn't have the same catchiness as nine-eleven, so it's harder to remember.
Well we put all the IRA bombings behind us. So why not this.
Is it bad that I've never heard of this before?
Is it bad that I've never heard of this before?
Yeah
I give this ceremony a rating of 7/7 stars
Hard to believe it's been 8 years
i forgot it was september 11th last year so i think the britons can forget about this
"They're remembering the victims, we did it guys!! We WON!!!"
They remember the victims, they remember us, they fear us, we can continue using these bombings as psychological weapons. That's the idea of terrorism.

Remember, events don't affect all people in the same way, and some people move on much faster than others. Neither way is wrong, in my opinion.
Wow. They don't even get a 10/10. Pretty rude.
Wow. They don't even get a 10/10. Pretty rude.
7/7 = 10/10.
