I'm getting sick of all this. For every slightly original crime show, there are 2 copies of it with the exact same plot, but in a different location and different actors. There are about 3 CSI shows going on at once, and every other crime show has started to clone itself too.
I hate all the partner crime shows there's been lately.

Every crime show bores the fuck out of me, same goes for every USA (channel) show.
It's because they are usually the easiest to write. Every episode they just have another victim with another crazy back story. BAM you have your episode for the week.
They all also have the same producer...
The only good crime show, imo, is Law and Order: SVU.
Everything else sucks.
And it sucks that they have gotten to the point where instead of making totally new crime shows. They just make different versions e.g The manu C.S.I's and Law and Orders.
One of the best crime/science fiction show on right now is probably Fringe. It is awesome because of the combination of the two, but not in a boring way where each episode is not really linked to the last. Each episode continues the story rather than an endless loop of crimes being solved and then occasionally some actor wants to leave so they die in the show.

Also, the main characters are part of something bigger than most characters in crime shows. It really is more Sci-fi than crime.
I enjoy Criminal Minds and Fringe.
If Dexter can be considered a crime show, then it's the best.
Sherlock is the only crime show I can really get into.
Dexter sounds good too.

Even Disney gentlemen
What's worse is the fact that they use fucking computers as an impossible plot device
Law and Order: SVU and The Wire are the best (and Oz if you count prison drama as crime)

And also Dexter if you count that as crime
You all mention american shows but there are decent shows in the UK such as Taggart and Life on Mars/Ashes to shes even though they could be considered sci-fi.
The only 'crime' show I like is New Tricks
insert CSI miami joke here

Even House? :saddowns:
Fucking agreed. I hate crime shows, they're all the same, boring show.
I like "Bones" show. It is pretty nice.

Burn Notice?
Yeah, the market is completely flooded with them. There are a few good ones though, The Mentalist, Chuck *(sorta crime) and NCIS are the only decent ones imo.
Only ones I watch are CSI:Miami and NCIS
The Occasional SVU, but its not my thing.
I fucking hate that new show on ABC they keep advertising. It's the cop show. Rookie Blue or something. Then right after that advertisement comes up the new show about cops in Detroit. Who gives a shit? I'd like to see a cop show take place in the 50's with some detective work and a sensible plot.
Easy to write crime scripts.. ?
It's the same thing with medical shows, it's quite easy to write dramatic material about a profession in which very few people know much about.
NCIS Used to be good, Then LA came out and everything went to shit.
CSI, any crime show like that is boring as hell. Cops and shows like it are even more boring.
