SEGA has recently announced that it will be offering early retirement to 300+ employees in the American stationed company. Not only that, they will be transferring to a new location.
SEGA is taking a huge risk for their company as they are planning to step AWAY from console gaming. They are now going to be more focused on things such as mobile games and PC online gaming. I believe this is complete and utter bullshit.
You know what this means? Sonic could be dead or is at least dying. NO WAIT. We still have Sonic Dash or iOS. NO FUCK THAT. Since they are deciding not to make any, or at least that many, more console titles this could be the end of our spiny hedgehoggy friend.
PC online gaming may be good in the aspect they have made some good earnings on their last titles, but this also may mean more mmo like titles from SEGA. At least that's what I'M getting out of this. As for mobile gaming? Nah fuck that.
I think it's stupid to simply through away their mascot like that or at least impede him. Sure, there's been some screw ups in the past because of some stupid decisions, but if they picked something that worked and stuck with it I believe Sonic could prevail.
I guess that's it for SEGA. They may be on their last leg here and it seems Sonic has already hit his death bed.

Oh I thought this was going to be a thread about Sega suing Sonic Drive-In.
Not people who worked on Sonic.
SEGA doesn't much of a shit about its employee whom aren't japanese and never has; it's one of the reasons they're failing.
its over
chris-chan has won the war on sonic
