could you explain to me what the difference of dip and snus is?
From my understanding snus is either a pouch or very finely ground tobacco whereas dip is more of a shredded/cut tobacco leaf into strips that you put in your lower lip, let sit there, and spit the saliva once it builds up.
Chewing tobaccy is the grossest habit. I don't mean that in a morally judgy way, I just think it's friggen grody that the people using it have to make the choice between spitting out their huge brown globs of mucus on the ground, or slowly filling up a bottle or empty cup with it. Both of those options are disgusting to witness. Then, of course, there's what it does to your teeth and gums...!

I've never had any interest in it myself, but it was all the rage when I was in the army. It seemed like every other person had a wad in their lip and a bottle full of sticky brown goop in their hand. I've got no ethical problem with the stuff (I mean, you're an adult. I've had that a few times and seen it happen to a few others and it always results in vomiting. But yeah I mean I've tried quitting a few times but that fact that pretty much every other Marine dips really puts a hinder on it. And for the most part the guys that don't dip they smoke so it's especially hard being active duty and quitting.
Feels like people are mistaking snus for dip.

AFAIK since Snus is steam pasteurised rather than roasted or smoked there's a fuckload less carcinogens and other assorted nasties in the Snus pouch itself, so weirdly enough it's actually a heck of a lot safer than chewing tobacco, dip, or any other form of tobacco really. All of which is either burned, roasted or smoked which loads it with lots of shit chemicals from incomplete combustion + the by-products. You don't need to spit with snus either.
I hope you are educated about the dangers of snus.
