I think he should use some of those achievements in the achievement mod, I think they're pretty good.

There's a Sniper achievement for getting backstabbed 50 times.
Acheivements are an annoying gimmick, especially for a sandbox game.
After you get fourteen achievements, you will unlock a new toolgun.
In the achievement mod there are some achievies for ZS,so there should be achievements for other popular gamemodes like RP,Death Run (GmodTower?) etc.

What makes you think that those gamemodes will still be existant in the far future? These are official achievements after all.
Lol the only motivation for me to ever get achievements is the unlocks in Team Fortress 2...
Of course it's fun too when you accidentally get achievements.

Once the gamemode starts to die, the whole gamemode's achievements could be removed and turned into a "Gamemode Trophy" section or something. Only the ones you got would be displayed under it, and if you had none for that game, it wouldn't display in your Achievement page. The gamemodes should be separated of course.
