These are just rumours.
Also Take That, Ed Sheeran, Muse, Spice Girls and Adele are meant to be performing.
Shame that more names didn't leak to be rumoured, but I'm psyched for a good closing ceremony of music.

Radiohead please.
Blur is going to do it as well. :D
I needs to be Muse, Blur, Radiohead and Coldplay.
You can just pick Radiohead out of those because Muse and Coldplay sound pretty much the same anyways. Except worse.
Just don't bring Paul Mcartney on again
Ouch. I didn't think Paul had a splendid performance but I'd love to see him do some kind of collaboration with these bands.
C'mon guys lets show the world we don't need Sir Paul to close out a concert for us

No he is in every event to do with Britain his time is up.
Wasn't their a rumour about Napalm Death playing You Suffer for it?

How can they have a "Listeners also bought" section for that?
I bet they planned to end it with Take That doing 'Never Forget' to a montage of Olympic Gold Medal wins.
But with Gary Barlow having just had a still born child, I doubt they'll appear.

Because he was a fucking Beatle and we should make the most of him while we got him. After he's dead nobody should be allowed to perform Hey Jude so the more we get that live, the better.

They did the same for the opening ceremony too!
it wasn't great.
Really? What a surprise.
would have been good if Kate Bush and David Bowie actually showed up.
they must have been desperate, getting george michael to sing 2 of his songs, a single verse of one would have been more than enough.
Stupid to expect artist's like that to sing at olympic ceremonies and suchlike though. They'd never do it.
It didn't feel very well put together at all.
It was more a "throw whichever remotely popular artists on the stage" and also lots of Beatles related things.
They should have got someone like Peter Gabriel to do it. He did the music for the Millennium Dome show which I remember being a lot better than this.

He got a chance to promote his new song too, which was completely irrelevant.
They fucking said The Specials would be there.
God's sake.
Beady Eye covering Oasis was just bad.
Beady Eye is just bad period.
the High Flying Birds is where it's at.
Were madness really that big? They played on top of Buckingham Palace too.
Also why did Jessie J and the other 2 I don't care for get an announcement when no other did that I can recall

Ray Davies got an announcement, I think
The only good band that played was Elbow and they barely got any attention.
[editline]13th August 2012[/editline]
And I gave up all hope of Radiohead playing when I first saw Muse on stage.
Elbow are so good. They're an audible hug.
I can't find a video of Muse's performance anywhere on the internet and from what I understand NBC cut it out of their broadcast. Go figure, the one thing about the olympics I would have cared about at all, I'm not going to get to see.
It wasnt very good. He missed some notes, apparently the guitar was mimed. New Muse aint great.
