Watch someone leak it onto the pirate bay :L
If I got it, I'd just be super careful and never die. There's no rule that you can't play on peaceful, either :smug:
I didn't understand shit.
I didn't understand shit.
How is that hard to understand
I didn't understand shit.
It's a minecraft world that is passed on through a usb stick. If you die, a script wipes your save and you have to pass it on to the next player.
Shame I have almost no Minecraft playing friends. This could be fun. :sigh:
thats cool as hell. wish i had friends who played it
Interesting concept, To bad I'll never get to experience it.
Really cool idea, most people probably won't follow through the rules though.
breaking the rules is kinda pointless since you will probably never see the end product anyway
Really cool idea, most people probably won't follow through the rules though.
i wouldn't be so sure about that
It's supposed to emulate religion and the first person that got their hands on it reserved its usage for the rich and famous.
Strange.
Sounds cool, too bad I don't have friends
kind of cool, facepunch could do this kind of thing if we didn't fuck it up (which we would)
Hmm, I might have to make a local version for my University.
Having watched the GDC Game Design Challenge I think that, although Chain World is a good idea and the most game-like of the three, Jenova should have won. His idea was the most inspiring and though provoking of the three in my opinion, and I feel disappointed that a truly great idea was beaten in part by "WOO, MINECRAFT" syndrome. Don't get me wrong, I loved Jason's presentation and his idea of the legacy passed on by other unknown people is brilliant but Jenova should have gotten more credit than he appeared to. Also, player 3 shouldn't give the USB to Jane McGonigal, it should stick to Jason's intention although I'm not sure how legal that would be seeing as whoever it is has agreed to give it to her by buying it, according to the description.
This whole, "only just pass on to people who express intrest" this is utter stupidity. It is fuel for a fire of rage from the people who want to play it but cant. This is just gona go up to one smart person copying the script from the jump drive then changing some values so if you die the save isnt whipped then either upload it to pirate bay or privately sell it. Other than that, like i said, this will cause so much rage in the minecraft community. People will always want it and then this will lead to hacking to the computer of whoever has it. So if i ever got it i would just copy it and change parts of the script, or may not use it because it would be targeted by hackers. But thats just my 2 cents.
Somebody'll fuck it up.
If I were to get it I would fill the spawn with lava
I already did this with my friend. We traded the map back and forth again.
I wish there was more to it, I was expecting some creepy story behind it, but its vanilla minecraft. If it had subliminal messages or something, that would be creepy.
what if some one just broke the USB in half
Or puts a keylogger on it
no wooden signs with text here come gigantic messages carved in the ground!
Would be cooler if after you died you respawned in a random location in the same map, then it was up to the next person to either start fresh or find the old bade
Single player commands :smug: > damage off
Watch someone leak it onto the pirate bay :L
uh what
This is really cool. Sounds like a lot of fun.
