• Service pack 2 = No sound

Hello, I was told by one of steams staff members to update Windows vista due to the fact that Red Orchestra was not running for some reason, but i downloaded service pack 2. Everything seemed fine and dandy but as i booted up to see that upgrading didnt do fuck all to my problem, another one appeared, I have no sound what so ever. I am using Realtek High definition and the computer is saying that it is working correctly and sound is coming out, only its not. I have tried solutions such as the tool supplied by Microsoft called 'Fix it' and tried it manually from there guide, but to no victory i am still stuck with no sound and no help from the internet. I have re-installed my audio drivers, re-booted, plugged the cable in and out, and checked for updates but everything is in the right order. So i think its time to get rid of this fucking bastard and march to the control panel to find this message when i try to get rid of it. 'The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package O12Conv.msi in the box below' click ok, nothing happens, and i browse for this hopeless folder and get nothing. All over google the no sound issue seems to be a common problem, but i was wondering if any of you tech poeple could help me out here? I am sorry for the spelling. NEW!!!! SOLVED : thank the lord for system restore!
