Hello. I bought an OCZ Petrol 64 GB, plugged power and sata cables in it and it doesn't show in BIOS nor Ubuntu / Windows.
What is happening? Should I get a refund?
Did you format the SSD...?
Yes, then buy a decent SSD.
I didn't format the SDD, so, should I definitely refund it?
I think you should, I've only heard bad things about OCZ SSDs.
I refunded, and ordered a 128 GB Sandisk SSD for just 12 euros more. But now that I think of it, could my motherboard not support SSD's? My motherboard is an asus P5SD2-VM, with AMIBIOS (the BIOS for american megatrends).
You should take a look at disk management, see if it's there.
I had an OCZ SSD die on me. I'll never buy another one.
I've had great experiences with Samsung, Intel and Adata SSD's.
I replaced my ocz with corsair and haven't had any problems. I should also mention that i had two ocz drives of the same model and one died while the other is running strong. Plus their 3 year warranty means I get a free replacement which isn't bad
