First post in a long time, so here I go. Within the next few weeks, I will be assembling my AR-15. This will be a piston operated carbine with a 16' barrel chambered in 5.56/.223. Not much else to say at the moment, but will update as I get the time to assemble within the upcoming weeks. To start it off, the heart of the rifle.
Mega 7075 T6 Aluminum Lower Receiver (Poor photo, will update)

May want to pop over to the Firearms thread for this for any recommendations. Good luck and have fun, though!
Wow, it has been a LONG time since I last posted. I apologize greatly for my delay and not updating this thread as I previously promised, but life took over and I had more important obligations to deal with. The most I can do is post a photo of the finished build, so here it goes. I'll gladly answer any questions.

God damn dude, looks nice though, whats the optic you got on there? And have you considered mounting backup irons?

It's an Aimpoint Pro red dot, non-magnified. I've thought about mounting backup sights a lot, but honestly they are expensive for what you get, the Aimpoint is extremely reliable and the battery lasts two years if on 24/7, and I'll most likely never actually use backup sights for shooting when I've got the Aimpoint. Maybe if I was going into battle or something, but for what I do with it a decent red dot works great.
