Police in Boise, Idaho say that 74-year-old Joy L. Cassidy was arrested after she was spotted pouring mayonnaise into the book return box of the Ada County library.
They say that she is a 'person of interest' in the investigation into at least 10 other condiment-related crimes against the library over the past year.
Cassidy was arrested on Sunday at the library, moments after police say she pulled through the outside drive-through and dumped an open jar of mayonnaise into the book drop box.
Boise police say Cassidy is also under investigation over repeated incidents of vandalism that began in May 2009 - during which reign of condiment terror library employees have reported finding books in the drop box covered in corn syrup and ketchup, as well as mayo.
Cassidy has been released from jail, and will face a charge of malicious injury to property.
This is Mayonnaise, not Ketchup.
Mustard she ruin every book she sees?
This is Mayonnaise, not Ketchup.
but she is suspected of using other condiments too.
take a pun or gtfo
Wait, what? :wtc:
Why?
I can imagine walking into some less frequented part of library, taking a book out of regal, pouring ketchup into it from a plastic bottle and putting it back.
PFFFT. You're supposed to jizz in the books and put them back on the shelf.
The library employees don't deserve that kind of treatment. Really.
I bet her lastname is Hellwomann

Have a book.
I bet they'll call her patty in jail.
Is it bad that i thought "mayonaise" was a metaphor for Jizz?

:wtc: What drives people to do idiotic things like this?
"Oh hey, I'm bored...HEY I KNOW, I'll dump condiments into a book return box :v:"
She should have shat in it.
Rated book.
shoulda hollowed out the book and put mayo in it
I guess she relished vandalizing libraries!
I wonder if she decided to do it on her own or if someone egged her on.
Still, for someone who's 74, she seems to be fairly full of piss and vinegar for her age to do something this oily.
Haha. It was on our local radio station (I live in Boise, Idaho)
The people from the radio station are trying to get her sponsored for mayonnaise commercials :D
Imo she should be fined for every book she's ruined.
OP, you SUCK at making avatars.
Cleaning up all that mess. That's terrible.
I hope the library have finally mayd up with her.
