Monitor for Console use

I'm looking for a monitor to use as a secondary monitor as well as the display for my Xbox 360.
-So HDMI is a must.
1080p is also wanted :v:

I'm willing to pay as much as.. $250??

I've been looking at monitors on Newegg for a while but I really have no idea what to look for and what is or isn't a good deal, so I would appreciate some help.

What features are important and what brands are reliable?(etc.)

Also, what monitors does facepunch use?

Speaking of monitors, should I get this one [URL]http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001417?[/URL] I'm not looking to spend too much, and my current monitor has awful banding issues.
I'm more focused on image quality and contrast ratio than size. I'd love to have a smaller screen but with equivalent resolution.

It's hard to say, Samsung is supposed ot be pretty good with image quality, but when you're buying cheap you're buying shit. So it's hard to tell.

That's a good monitor, the reason it's cheap is because it's small and just has 1600x900

If you don't need a TV tuner, get P2470H/P2370H/P2270H. All are 1080p.
