for some reason i can play any other game just fine but for some reason jedi academy is lagging. the last time i played it i don't remember it lagging like this. i might have fixed something but i can't remember. is this a common problem for this game to lag when you have specs that could easily run it? 3ghz p4 processor 1gb ddr1 ram x1600 ati agp
never mind i figured it out. it was a stupid graphical option that did nothing but make the graphics glitchy and kill the frame rate
Mind sharing which graphics option that may be in case someone were to stumble across this thread in the future with the same question?
um. dynamic glow? next time i boot it up i'll verify that shit. i'm not the best at googling for answers sometimes. the magic words were "bad jedi academy performance" or something like that. dynamic glow seems to be something that universally makes the graphics all glitchy shit and slows the game down way way to much, like down 50 fps.
Actually I play Jedi Academy on Steam and Make sure Dynamic Shadows is off because It eats up FPS pretty bad Now for Dynamic Glow actually it doesn't seem to eat up FPS that much but that might be due to my system (2.6 GHZ Dual Core+ATI 4250)
this is a game from 2003 and i run this without dynamic glow and everything else and i get framerates well above 70 constantly
