Can't even go outside in a Cyclone and avoid being bitten.
Okay how can anyone still possibly be alive in Australia at this point
How do you even manage
Those movies were right.
You mean they weren't documentaries?
I really hope they use this in the next Shark Week.
Looking at that photo actually makes me feel really sorry for the shark. It looks so sad/dead.
:(
Bring George and his bar stool! he'll save the day!

Perhaps the added threat of being mauled by airborne sharks will keep you Australians from being crazy.
Keep an eye out for that statue of liberty head!

Australia is big and we have world class protection
Fyi this current cyclone that swept through Queenslands North as a category 5 and then swept through the south as a category low, not one death recorded as of yet
That's a pretty big achievement, even during our worst floods we only had 30 or so deaths which is sad but not as much as other countries would have if they suffered catastrophic floods that you guys make out as Armageddon

Btw op it'd help next time if you put where in Australia this thing happened because saying just Australia fuels this dumb overt reaction facepunch gets because "OMG HOW CAN ANYONE LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY U GUYS SUFFER SO MUCH"
Those poor sharks. Man, that must suck. One minute you're just bloop bloop blooping along and the next you're in Australia. Oh, and you can no longer breath.

Well it's in the article. That reaction is pretty much a running joke about Australia, not a serious reaction unless I've been misinterpreting.
Well I'll be damned..
I really wanted to go to the beach today, but it had to get flooded :\
On a serious note, I am glad there haven't been any deaths. Considering the strength of the system, QLD's come through pretty well.

But I like those dumb overt reactions. Without it I wouldn't have gotten laid nearly as much when I went on my euroasia trip.

it gets pretty repetitive after the 500th time I read it, nothing new or original just a recycled rubbish generalisation

Well other people like the overreactions. At least most of them are more original than the other jokes such as 'FLORIDA MAN' and so on.

truefact: in WW2 the Australian defense plan in case of japanese invasion was basically to abandon everything north of brisbane and let the invaders try to deal with it

Good luck, Aussies.

Well if people find it funny why can't they? It's just a harmless joke, you can just ignore it, or does it really upset you that much that people can somehow be amused by something you don't find funny?
I think you need to remove the stick from your rectum and just let people have their fun, regardless of if you think it's repetitive.

Ask him if he rides a kangaroo or a crocodile to school.
