Commiting Movie Viewer Suicide (confessing opinions opposed to high acclaims for movies.)

Did you ever go to see a movie that just didn't live up to what one of your friends, family memebers, or a movie review show said it was? Any movies that you saw that you thought really weren't that great, but had either a cult following, or very high marks according to other people? Express 'em here.
One of the only films I can remember having said this for was Cloverfield. I had pretty good expectations for the film, due to the massive hype here, and two friends who had seen it who said it was really great. It had a few good shock moments or moments that really felt action-y, but other than that, I just couldn't really get into the movie that much.
i think it's perfectly reasonable to be disappointed with cloverfield, it didn't even get good reviews
Avatar.
It's really not that great.
People are saying that Zombieland is like, the greatest zombie movie ever or one of the greatest movies of the year, but I thought it wasn't that great. It was okay but just not great. Same with Benjamin Button. I just thought that movie was dull.
I loved Fast and furious 1,2,4
3 was stupid
Zomebieland wasn't even that good.
I agree with pie up there. ^
I did not enjoy Taxi Driver or Fight Club.

Bill Murray was the only good person in it. Besides Woody.
I really didn't like Citizen Cane. At all. That narrator's voice was so fucking annoying.
Titanic was SHIT
I found Aliens very boring.

citizen kane's a great movie you should kill yourself
I remember everyone hating Eagle eye, but I didn't think it was that bad.

It was quiet possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I couldn't sit still, I wanted to walk out of the theater. CGI DOES NOT MAKE A FUCKING MOVIE.
2012 had great CGI but it didn't make it a good movie, it was terrible.
There's this one indie film called Elephant which is loved by most critics but I just thought it was painfully slow and boring. People say stuff like, "Well it's supposed to be that way, because it's supposed to emphasize that fact that it was a normal day", but I don't want to watch a movie about a normal day. I wanna see shit happen!
Also the kids in the movie are fucking stupid, which is a nice touch of realism for these times eh?
Elephant was okay if you ask me. I agree, some parts were seriously boring. (I believe there were two scenes where all they showed was nothing but clouds passing by for minutes on end) But it was an okay film, I liked the "it was a normal day" aspect, and I liked how all the scenes ended before Harris and Clebold started shooting and then finally came together at the end.
Clockwork Orange and Donnie Darko are way overrated. I normally love dystopian stuff, but the movie was just boring to me. And Darko seemed like it made stuff up as it went along and it was just trying to be deep.
Also, in my opinion, Fight Club is the best movie ever, its like a bible for me. Ive seen it over ten times easily and I've been thoroughly entertained every time.
I agree, Clockwork Orange was terrible. I read the book, watched the movie, I hated both with a passion.
Fight Club was great, I thought it was going to be a stupid movie about fist fighting but then I watched it and my mind was blown.

Funny story about Clockwork orange, it's been stolen 9 times where I work. Our thieves have a sense of humor.
I know there are some movies I just can't think of what they are...
Star Wars III
I know the reviews were negative, but it just didn't live up to its hype.

clockwork orange was awesome
and do you pray to tyler durden
I never liked brave heart, it's not a bad movie, just not my style.
I loved Fast and furious 1,2,4

3 was easily the best. 4 was dumb as hell.
Hangover wasn't as funny as I expected, Old School was superior in my opinion.
Paranormal Activity.
I found Aliens very boring.
You sure you're not talking about alien and not aliens?

I liked the idea behind clockwork, I usually like dystopian stuff like that. Brave New World is easily one of my favorite books, but clockwork just didn't pull it off for me.
And I don't pray to Durden, but I do have some hardcore fights with my friends, feels good man.
Inglorious basterds was good but it wasn't amazing. Absolutely not "omg tarentino's best" or "best movie ever omg so gud."
Mainly because it was too convoluted with little explanation and the bar scene was too long and should have been cut down.
