It feels weird to have Pure Pwnage back in action.
I hope they talk more about the masterer
Let's just hope it does not fall into one big advertisement for either League of Legends or Global Offensive.
Remember when they had the TV show? When that aired, I watched every episode when it aired. Good times..
[editline]23rd November 2015[/editline]
Also oh shit, premieres in Toronto. I can actually go to that.
Yaaas!!! I'm so happy to see Dave and Doug are in it too.
This is such a nostalgic series for me, feels good man.
FPS Doug the legend
Fuckin Pro at Cooking.
And I'm still getting headshots!
This makes me feel old and I'm only 20, doesn't feel too long ago that I thought CS:S, GMod 9, Pure Pwnage and Unreal Tournament 2004 were literally the greatest things in my life, but it was 10 fucking years ago.
For someone who has never watched these guys back in the days(I do remember them), this looks pretty dumb to be honest
Hopefully it's all legit, can't fuckin wait.
I can't believe this is finally coming out after 3 years since the fundraiser, so glad for these guys.

Makes me feel old too! The first Pp episodes were focused on jeremy playing zero hour and talking l337 and calling people noobs and such. You see this was a great fucking formula. Nowadays though it will be hard to make the formula work again. What was actually funny about it? Jeremy going outside talking to people who don't know shit about the gaming communities using the words gay or noob when your average person wouldn't. It also included some surrealism with the masterer playing 4 games at once and such. The movie will focus on realism as we can see from the trailer . I do not mind the movies direction, even if I wanted it to be like it used to be it will never happen because gaming is known to most people now! I can't wait for the movie though. Nostalgia will hit me hard.
This looks terrible.
I only knew these guys for the "BOOM HEADSHOT" bit. I didn't know they did anything else :v:

As someone who watched the originals when they were sent through Xfire, It does look dumb unfortunately to me.
It's so strange seeing the same guys after so much time.
its been a long ass time
I loved pure pwnage back in the day, but this just looks bad.
even their latest tv series was a huge drop in quality compared to their original one, I couldn't even watch it.
Of course, if it does succeed I'd be more than happy, but judging by all the web series and sensations that ended up making a movie, the track record is horrible.
Looks fuckin stupid but still funny, these guys know how to deliver a joke. It's gonna be campy as hell and I'm gonna love it.

They acknowledged this in their Indiegogo campaign, if it means anything to you:
One of the most common discussions amongst our fans is which format was better for Pure Pwnage. Those who prefer the free-form, loosely structured nature of the web series will be happy to know that we do, too, and that's why we're basing the movie entirely off of the web universe. Is there still somewhere you can watch the original episodes? I remember looking them up and only finding a few :(

Scroll down, click on web series and click on one. Then scroll up and the video player should change to the thing you selected.

they didn't aknowledge it (at least not in the snippet you posted).
good intentions aren't enough to make a good product, but I still wish all the best to them...

I mean, that's the only other format there was... Either way, they've talked about the failings of the TV series several times, they're well aware of what was done poorly. Whether or not that's enough for them to learn from their mistakes is up in the air but from watching a few of the livestreams here and there I trust them to at the very least make something entertaining and worth my time.
lmao I remember how I really wanted one of those Gamer Army dogtags during that era
