I'm a heavy gamer and 3d artist and need pure powah.
I'm alright with my GPU for now (9600GT, i can play DiRT2 on Ultra so i'm happy).
Atm i'm using a M3N78-VM DDR2 AM2+ Mobo with a AMD 7750 BE @ 2.7ghz
I want to get a quaddie but shall i go for the AM3 Phenom x4 and loose 5% power cause of the bottleneck on my AM2+ Mobo running AM3 or shall i get a new Mobo and go Intel?
If you say Intel then tell me which board and chip for under 300 GBP.
Thanks!
AMD all the way.

You could get a i7 and new mobo, but you need to look at ram
you're not going to get an i7 for under 300
and unless it's on a professional level where he needs as much power as he can get, he's not going to need HTing
and if it were on a professional level, he'd have a budget higher than £300 and would be looking at higher end i7s

i7's are not cheap. OP you need to sell more models or something because 300 won't cut it for an i7. 860 or 920...
I'm Still a ProAm, so i need the power to create goddamn cool stuff but not to be able to render 1080p animated 1million polycount movies.
Just an upgrade on what i have.
Is it really worth going ddr3?
AMD*
I suggest getting an Asus M4A79XTD Evo and AMD Phenom II x4 955BE & OC it.
And at least 4gb DDR3 RAM.
Right ok.
Comes to £288

It is very worth it to switch to DDR3 right now. You will pay the same price for DDR2 and you'll get a much higher clock speed.

You can always contact game developers and show off your work, then see how much they'll pay for the model and all rights to it. I think someone here on facepunch once got a little on selling something to EA.
There's also pages on the internet selling models, maybe you can sign up there and see if you get any potential buyers.
Also, I suggest going i7 920. Even if it means you'll have to save up some more.
