I assume this will work for me because it doesn't specify any make/model limitations. I have a 2008 Chevy Cobalt LS.
it works with any post 1995 car
however, I prefer this: http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-compatible/dp/B005NLQAHS/ref=pd_sim_auto_2
it is bluetooth and connects to your phone and is all cool and whatnot
i have one
it works great
I like going with OBD2 bluetooth dongle and use Torque Pro on any android cellphone, been using them for years and they work better than any code reader, and are a replacement for Aeroforce guage, I monitor misfires, KR, O2's, MAF, and and kind of things while driving.
Is there a program like Torque Pro that is free? I see there is Torque Lite, but it lacks quite a few features. I already have a scanner, but I'd like something that'd track my MPG's. The Lite version of Torque supposedly doesn't track US gallons.
Also, is 3g/service required to use it? Didn't know if the app required it. I usually shut off 3g while I drive, to save battery power. And I usually don't even have service where I drive.
As far as I know it only uses bluetooth to connect to the dongle, gps if you want to track speed and stuff.
And no, you won't find an alternative as good as torque. Even lite is better than any other similar tools.
