Rockstar has yet to announce a new port for its aging PC, PlayStation 2 and Xbox open world, but the new awards list (published by Xbox Achievements) suggests that it might have something in the works. Eagle-eyed fans have also spotted that the game's old Xbox Originals download has also now been pulled from sale. This month also marks the 10th anniversary of San Andreas' original release on 26th October 2004 - a milestone that Rockstar marked for GTA4 with a relaunch of that game on phones and tablets. San Andreas is already available for iPhone, iPad, plus Android devices and Windows Phones - could a Xbox 360 and/or PlayStation 3 port be next? The San Andreas location would also fit with the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto 5 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One - expected at some point before the year's end.
a milestone that Rockstar marked for GTA4 with a relaunch of that game on phones and tablets.
Now that'd be amazing. Also i'd pick this up for local coop, that shit was amazing.
Improved character models, bigger draw distance, more populated cities, more pedestrian and vehicle variety. Along with lighting and texture enhancements. Yeah I would probably buy it.
Will it still run at 25 fps?
-snip-
Tried playing the pc version, but it has barely any modern gamepad support. Wish they would update it to use the 360 controller as a layout.
I have yet to buy this on PC, but I do have the iOS version. If they manage to enhance it better than the current PC and iOS version, I will buy it no regrets. if they plan to release for PC too that is.. Plz, a 2004 engine isn't that hard to reedit right? :pwn:
That's weird, achievements usually go into the system pretty close to the release time. For Rockstar to have mentioned nothing about the game is really odd.

Be prepared for lots of cut songs due to licensing issues:(
I would get it again but I would prefer it on ps3 as I prefer the controller
I would get it again but I would prefer it on ps3 as I prefer the controller
The PS4 has native PC support and mimics the PS2 DS2 controller pretty close

Will it have heists?
Will it still run at 25 fps?
actually due to a weird bug, its advisable to run GTA:SA on PC at 30fps lock, otherwise weird glitchy things happen
actually due to a weird bug, its advisable to run GTA:SA on PC at 30fps lock, otherwise weird glitchy things happen
Its actually a myth that GTA San Andreas has to played with the frame limiter ON forcing it to 25fps. If you turn on V-sync for the game in your graphics card drivers it will run absolutely fine at 60fps with the frame limiter off. Same for other GTA III era games as well.

If this is real, I wonder if it will be released on PC as well. And if it is will it be a patch to the existing game, a paid add on or a separate game? And if it is in fact coming to PC and ends up as a separate game, it figures it would happen after a few weeks after I purchased the original.
Hmm, if that's the case then i'll be sure to pick it up and play through it without cheating since i've been meaning to do that for a while.

They will work at higher framerates, but it breaks things in the game. Like some missions literally become impossible. In Vice City for example, boats only travel at half speed at 60 fps.
Anything for a buck these days. The game came and went. Let it lay dead, fucks sake.

Never noticed any other weirdness like you mentioned at high frame rates though.
Anything for a buck these days. The game came and went. Let it lay dead, fucks sake.
Its just a reissue. Chance to fix some previous bugs and update it to work with "modern" hardware and introduce it to a new audience.
GROVE STREEEEET.

But the frame limiter is the only way to make sure certain things don't bug out. [editline]22nd October 2014[/editline]
GROVE STREEEEET.
HOME.
