I thought this had something to do with the update. :frown:
He's said this before in an interview. I agree, it was a really good game.
Still have the game. Good old Yoshi, hiding on the roof. Too bad he didn't come down and let me ride him around.
He also said he was disappointed by Super Mario Galaxy.
So much :argh:
Dude, UR MR GAY, wasn't all that much fun. Honestly. It became really repetitive. sadfaic
What a coincidence, that's my favorite game too.
I thought it would be World of Warcraft.
Or something cliche like one of Valve's games.
Super Mario 64 was pretty fun, so I'm ok with this.

He has that thing a lot of Zelda fans have. You love an old installment of the series so much that even proper sequels don't seem to match up. I blame nostalgic value.

I liked Wind Waker much more than Twilight Princess, and people say WW was not a proper sequel.
WW was just as good as OoT.
Edit:
Not saying Twilight was bad, it was fun but did not feel like OoT.

This. Twilight Princess was hated by a good bunch of people because "HURR IT'S NOTHING LIKE OCARINA OF TIME HURR". I really hate that, TP was an awesome game. Same goes with Wind Waker

Wind Waker was great. It was definitely a full-length game chock full of tons of shit to do. I also loved exploring the open seas. There was just so much to find. I can understand some people not liking some of its elements (even though I loved them all), but whenever someone pulls up the old "hurr cartoon graphics" complaint I just disregard their entire argument. Wind Waker even beats Ocarina of Time, in my opinion, because of its sheer quantity of sidequest material and overworld size. Wind Waker easily has way more game than Ocarina of Time, and for a sidequest whore like me, that was heaven.

Yeah, it's called "nostalgia goggles". They view everything through a filter that applies the rule "everything released after my childhood sucks dick regardless of whether or not I even played it".

If any Zelda games should be frowned upon, it's the handheld ones. But then again, there wasn't really much they could do about that.

And Twilight Princess was fucking awesome. A worthy addition to the series.

The Capcom Zelda handheld games (Oracle of Ages/Seasons, Minish Cap...) were really good, dunno about the DS ones because the weird control (Stylus-only? SERIOUSLY?) kept me away from playing them

I've played that star trek game, I had trouble getting into it but once you've got an hour or so under your belt it's pretty fun.
D'aww. I love little moments where facepunchers can share opinions on the zelda series.
That being said, I'm surprised Valve hasn't ever worked on making a platformer.
Gabe has been saying this for years, i think its in RTB aswell.
At first I thought he changed his mind then I see it's still the Mario 64 which was known for a long time.
I was expecting ep3, only because he'd be the only one playing it :v:

I thought it was an RPS troll article, and gabes fav game was Ricochet
Heh, that Star Trek game is pretty fun...

I didn't like TP and I barely even played OOT
come at me bro
I am happy with this. It was one of my favorite games for the N64. Shame I never did beat it, problably should work on finishing it.
Thank God it's not Minecraft.

I don't like Mario Galaxy either. So much centered around the galaxies, you barely got to be familiar with the levels because you were blasting around so much. I thought Sunshine was much better because it had definitive levels.
I thought it was tf2 but its ok.
Mainframe Gaming. Awesome.
Gabe Newell is now officially the most badass gamer and developer to exist on this planet.
