Trump accuses FBI of 'spending too much time' on Russia probe
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump attacked the FBI and lawmakers probing alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and said an excessive focus on Russia led federal investigators to miss signs that could have prevented the deadly school shooting in Florida last week.
In a series of tweets over the weekend, Trump accused President Barack Obama of failing to do enough to stop Russian election interference and belittled Representative Adam Schiff, of the House intelligence committee that is investigating Russia’s actions. Trump labeled Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the panel, a leaking “monster.”
Trump also said the Federal Bureau of Investigation was “spending too much time” looking into whether his presidential campaign colluded with Russia.
The tweets follow the announcement on Friday that special counsel Robert Mueller had charged 13 Russians and three Russian companies with a conspiracy to tamper in the 2016 U.S. election.
The indictment says Russians adopted false online personas to push divisive messages and staged political rallies while posing as Americans, among other charges. But the indictment was silent on the question of whether anyone from the Trump campaign coordinated or worked with Russians.
Russia has denied meddling in the U.S. election and Trump has denied any collusion.
"This is Obama's fault for failing to do enough to stop Russian election interference! Also the FBI should to less to stop Russian election interference"
I'm starting to feel like America is fucking hopeless if an idiot of this caliber still has a 35% approval rating
If a person who is this unlikable and this much of an obvious idiot and liar can have a 90% approval rating among Republicans, think about how easily an actual well spoken and intelligent scumbag could turn the US into a fucking fascist dictatorship.
First start spending 'too much time' on actual work instead of playing golf and being a lazy fuck who doesn't even read his daily briefings properly, if he reads them at all.
And fucking wow, it's always Obama's fault with this guy and his brain-dead followers.

I've said it before -- the worst thing here isn't Trump, or his policies. The worst thing is that somewhere out there, future Republican presidential candidates are watching how little conservatives care about Trump's absolute incompetence, his infidelity, his corruption, and his ties to Russia, and they are taking notes.
If 2016 has done anything, it's shown us (at least, those of us who want to look) just how wilfully blind the conservative electorate can be, as long as they get to win the big sports game.

Again, Obama tried to do more but McConnell interfered.
Republicans trying to throw shit at the FBI should be factoring in everything they've been doing to undermine the FBI for the past couple years when they levy their complaints.
This administration is so good at passing the buck, you'll never see these guys admitting fault to anything. Accusing Obama of not doing enough? He was never put under investigation for traitorous shit before.
That is pretty much the same for every political party out there.

So DO something and place sanctions on Russia you dishonest orange beast.
(Oh wait, he's already in the pocket of Putin so that's not possible)
Man, does Donald Trump think that literally every agent in the FBI is working on the Russia case? That an organization has no capability of delegating different tasks to different departments or divisions?
It has been one full day since Mueller's indictments of thirteen Russian individuals and entities for their role in a massive attack against our nation's economic, social, and political stability -- an attack that is still ongoing. In that day, Trump has tweeted about it sixteen times. Of those sixteen tweets, not a single one includes a condemnation of Russia of any sort whatsoever. You know who Trump does condemn in those sixteen tweets? The media, the Democrats, the FBI, the Department of Justice, Obama, and Hillary Clinton for "wasting time" investigating it. Our nation is under attack, and this is our Commander-In-Chief's response.
Trump has perjured his oath of office. He must be impeached. He is the greatest domestic threat to our national security in modern history.

It really is sad. I always think of all the brilliant generals and lawmakers in our government with Trump over the top of them. Its mind numbing.

There will be a reckoning for Trump, I can't see him sustaining this level of lunacy for this term much less another four years after.
Cool response to the shooting but what are you going to actually do about it
x3 guilty pleas in the first year but oke

I often see the same vein of logic in YouTube comments for indie game trailers
"Why are they making these dumb indie games instead of GTA6???"
In some peoples heads, there's just one game developer, and just one FBI office where they do 1 thing at a time.

I guess he's never let reality get in the way of his Twitter tantrums before, why start now?
Maybe they'd spend less time on it if you'd stop trying to slow them down at literally every opportunity
Or if you just confessed. You could confess.

No way, if anything, Trump should spend more time golfing. When he's golfing, he's just wasting heaps of tax payer money, he's not fucking up the country as much
It's not like anyone here doesn't understand how dumb this is but just for closure, an FBI spokesman outright says that the FBI is absolutely not dedicating 100% of it's resources on the Russia investigation and, more precisely, none of the people involved in investigating the claims made about Cruz would even be involved in that investigation.
