Over the weekend, Tunisia received a jolt from a galaxy far, far away.
A space object, likely a meteorite, fell on Sunday in a rural desert area of the Tataouine governorate in southern Tunisia, not far from the filming location of the first Star Wars movie, according to local radio reports.
Witnesses, according to Radio Tataouine, say that a bright object was seen falling from the sky at around 8 p.m. and then exploded on the ground. The streaking space object was reportedly visible from the city of Tataouine, the governorate’s capital.
A military patrol is now looking for the impact site.
Gotta watch out for them pesky meteors.
it was an escape pod
it's fucking happening
Lookout for droids.
It has begun.
Rebel scum.
That meteor picture fyi is gorgeous.
I'm off to join the jedi.
star wars
It's a sign!
The meteorite is probably more expensive than the budget for the first star wars movie.
Behold the dawn of the Tiberium age.
We must comb the desert for this object.
goddammit r2 this is all your fault

Most probably robots
Not the droids we're looking for, move along
-Star Wars joke-
This reminds me of when last year I saw a meteorite explode. I thought it was a firecracker and thought nothing of it. Little did I know I witnessed something rare I've been waiting to see my whole life.
Bummer
Coolbeans, my gf returned from Tunisia a month or so ago and visited the Tatooine filming site while there. Shame... she could've seen it if she stayed a while longer. That's one hell of a thing to see in your life.
Probably some gun loaders from the Hyperion station.
It was just a faulty empty escape pod they didn't shoot at.
Maybe there's a HL3 copy in it
