Those lips, they look too big. No wait, weird... I don't know but there's somethings wrong with their lips.
The more trailers I see with this Link the less I like his design. Anyway Link&Zelda always had a Brother/Sister kinda relationship. I doubt if Nintendo will ever change that.

I think you can understand where I'm coming at.
Is it just me, or does it seem to pull a lot of cliche anime-type scenes out of its ass?
Dude what the fuck Get back to the dark fantasy stuff, this is just too much. It's like they managed to rub Vaseline all over the fucking trailer it's so blurry and brighty and colory and shit

The gameplay looked great and this is zelda we are talking about. So yea no need worrying over it nintendo knows what its doing.
Majora's Mask Nice fantasy world, a lot of creepy dark shit in it
Well this obviously there nice town. I mean the scary creepy stuff is supposed to happen after something bad happens.
Majora's Mask Nice fantasy world, a lot of creepy dark shit in it
even before that, Zelda was bright lighthearted fantasy Squidward Sword is just taking a more colorful, vibrant direction in design, which is a WELCOME change from every modern game being desaturated brown bloom. oh, and Twilight Princess blew.

You can make a nice enchanting universe without making everything blurry and ultra-bright, this is just getting lazy. I mean seriously look at every single moment of the trailer before shit goes down. PINK. EVERY. WHERE. So yeah it was colorful in the n64 games but it's not because you can add bloom on it that you must [editline]1st October 2011[/editline] I mean don't get me wrong I'm not into brown/grey games, I find them boring and annoying after a while, but here it looks like nintendo just lost their shit and went "OH YOU DON'T WANT BROWN AND GREY LIKE TWILIGHT PRINCESS ? HERE HAVE SOME FUCKING BLOOM EVERYWHERE" all up their game. Even Wind Waker wasn't all bloom-filled, it was cartoonish and very well made graphically.
Majora's Mask Nice fantasy world, a lot of creepy dark shit in it
Zelda II (including the part where you played as adult Link in OoT) was pretty dark.

Nintendo said that if they used Twilight Princess's graphics, Skyward Sword would already be finished.
Well just turn down or off the blinding bloom then. I'm not asking for realism, once again, I'm just asking for something that isn't as cliché'd as this.
Lips are funky, animation is a little off. But I don't dislike it.
This game looks better and better with every new piece of footage, from both gameplay and graphical standpoints. I'm definitely getting this as soon as it comes out.
what have they done to zelda :(
what have they done to zelda :(
They made it look better, made it play different than before, and made a new story using the same characters existing in different time periods. It is Zelda man, it'll still be awesome (Unless it is Zelda on the CD-I)
o im so riting a fanfic for this now
o im so riting a fanfic for this now
Let me guess sex on top of one of those birds while flying at night?
Nintendo. Keeping it unique. Say all you want about Nintendo, they're still one of the best at what they do.
I like it but I think they messed up the contrast between the lip skin and face skin. Kind of making them look bulgy. Maybe different cultures of people have lips like that. Like Philippines people maybe? (idk why those people came to mind, but google south asian shit like that and you'll see.)
I hate the art, but I said the same thing about windwaker and that grew to be one of my favorite games. Hopefully this is the same way.
I don't see whats wrong with it, haven't people been always complaining that Link doesn't get the girls kiss? let puberty hit him like a train.
Nintendo. Keeping it unique. [editline]1st October 2011[/editline] But god that trailer was horrible. I mean do you REALLY have to show the butterflies and the birds singing and the bees flying around flowers to show they're in love or whatever ? Keep it even slightly subtle, don't just throw it at our face just like we were unable to understand when two characters are supposed to have a romance or something [editline]1st October 2011[/editline] It's nice to see though that for once the story apparently isn't just "random teenager is in fact a hidden super-hero who finds a random princess in a castle and suddenly feel the urge of saving her after she got kidnapped by a tall man with a big nose fetish" and has a bit more weight added to the relationship between link and zelda, but I'd still like to see a more subtle approach of the idea.
I like Zelda, he looks so happy.
The design of Zelda looks similar to Marin from Links Awakening.
Well just turn down or off the blinding bloom then. I'm not asking for realism, once again, I'm just asking for something that isn't as cliché'd as this.
What are you talking about? Zelda is a fantasy game and as such it doesn't need to try to look realistic. Wind Waker was a good game even with its cartoony look. Calm down. The game will have fun puzzles and action. You are probably going to buy it anyways so putting up this front about it is looking pretty stupid to me. It will probably get darker the father you go into it just like Wind Waker. Having it start out all happy and frilly helps get the tone of how dire the situation is becoming. Also we now have a love interest who wasn't always just a random princess locked away in a tower. They established a connection between these people so now Link has a real reason to care about this person. It may be done really cheesey, but this is a trailer and you can't establish any real kind of connection in 2 minutes.
What are you talking about? Zelda is a fantasy game and as such it doesn't need to try to look realistic.
Learn to read I didn't say I wanted it to be realistic, god I just think making it SO blindly over-happy is killing the idea. You have to be subtle even if you want to make it charming in the first place, or else you just get the care bears.
