• SSD Not Shown In Boot Order

I recently cloned my HDD contents onto my SSD (OS, personal files, Steam etc) but when I try to make that the primary bootable, I seem to have little luck. The SSD does not appear in the boot priority section of the BIOS but it is recognised by Windows (can bet written to, read from). The SSD is new, everything is plugged in correctly with the HDD being in slot one and the SSD being in slot two. Is there any way to solve this issue at all? Thanks for any help in advance :)
I had this same issue when migrating to my SSD from HDD. In my case, it wouldn't show up in the BIOS to set it as the primary boot device, but it would show up in the Boot Menu when not going into the BIOS(by pressing F12 during boot). I then formatted my original drive so that windows wasn't on it anymore, and it just took the SSD as boot device instead. First try unplugging your HDD, and see if your system boots correctly. If it does boot properly, you can either try above, or put the HDD in another system and format the drive.

How did you clone the HDD to the SSD? Did you just copy the files, or did you use a tool, that creates an exact copy?

The only remaining issue is that it doesn't recognise that there is an OS on the SSD but I'll work around that. Thanks for the help so far guys :)
Sounds like your boot sector didn't copy over. If you can get to a recovery console, you can use the bcdboot command to set up a new BCD store on the drive which will point to your cloned windows install. Did you also make sure your partitions were set up properly? Windows newer than Vista typically has two partitions, a 100MB (or 350MB for 8+) boot partition plus the rest of the disk for Windows.
