I simply can [I]not[/I] convince my parents that Mcafee doesn't do anything helpful, I show them things like Avast and Spyware Doctor and they say something along the lines of "McAfee protects us so much more than these". Pfft.
I am on a Avast TRIAL and it's detected 3 potential viruses and McAfee didn't do anything each time. At least Avast popups go away after a few seconds.
So, I get these annoying popups while playing games, especially during Garrysmod, about McAfee not fully protecting the computer. It turns out it's like we don't have E-mail spam-virus-trojan protector or whatever and to stop the damn popups I need to buy some new McAfee service pack or whatever, fuck that.
Anyone know how I can disable these "Not fully protected" popups, and all the other annoying game-minimizing things it gives me.
This reminds me of fucking Canyon Racers in Morrowind, I only get them when it really matters. Lately I've ONLY gotten them while loading gmod, joining a server in gmod, starting up BW2, MoW, etc, and it's pissing me off.
