" what's more important than taking the piss? Survival? Winning?"
a fucking capable anti-cheat for a start you dicks.
Right because I'm sure the same people doing the anti-cheat did the emotes.

Development studios are made up of multiple people who can work on different things at the same time.

I am aware of that, thank you :). But fairly certain in terms of priority they should be fixing performance and sorting their anti-cheat out. Which yeah, the update apparently had performance fixing patchnotes I believe. I might be at 30FPS inside some random building instead of 25FPS. Good times, but adding things like emotes, and friends list? Dunno, feels like yet another avenue that could cause bugs and all sorts. I feel like a game with hackers this rampant as well should have a focus on their anti-cheat as well which, as was well pointed out, yes, other people can work on. But my response was to what PCGamer said, what's more important. Doesn't matter if some people worked on this and other people worked on that, they rolled out an update as a company, I am disliking said company. For example, If my Sennheiser's felt comfortable, but sounded terrible, I'm not going to go "well i like Sennheiser's design team but Sennheiser's audio (not actually sure who designs it tbh) enginners are really bad' - I'm just going to dislike that company as a whole.
I'm also aware you don't get the perfect anti-cheat. But as it stands, I feel like if you're going to roll out an update with new features and that such you'd wait for the anti-cheat to also have a said update. Because if I recall correctly, doesn't this mean that in a week or months time they have to reset stats? (Or do they not do this anymore?).

Clearly you aren't

But it isn't untrue that they clearly are disorganized and have no sense of what they should be actually working on
at the same time this probably took like 5 seconds to actually add

Nah, it would take a couple weeks at least
Animating, designing UI, network fuckery
But I wouldn't imagine many people being assigned to do it.
Pretty sure it's been implemented as well for future revenue pathways (like destiny)
