An explosion at a hotel in Newberg has injured three people and may be connected to a drug manufacturing operation.
Police investigating the 3 a.m. blast at the Best Western hotel said one of the injured persons is a female toddler, age 2. An adult woman and man were also hurt.
In a press release, police later said the woman and the toddler were not hurt but were taken to a hospital as a precaution since they were in the room where the explosion took place.
Smoke alarms and fire suppression sprinklers activated after the blast, according to fire investigators.
The adult male who was injured was flown to a Portland hospital. His clothes had reportedly melted to his body in the blast.
The man hurt in the explosion is in critical condition and not breathing on his own, according to police.
Over 120 people were evacuated after the blast. Investigators said they found items and chemicals related to drug manufacturing, possibly hashish, in the room where the blast took place. Police said the operation was not a meth lab.

Also, horrible.
Woops, I expected it to be a meth blast, still drug related though. Awful town.
I'd imagine having your clothes melt to your skin wouldn't be too pleasant of a sight.
I fucking live in Newberg.
Holy fucking shit.
